Bizarre acne treatments that people believe in

Today doctors are suggesting natural treatments for acne. This is because natural remedies are proven to be completely safe and free from side effects unlike harsh soaps, strong medications, creams and ointments which may aggravate the situation instead of curing it.

But along with it there appears many quack-doctor that promote their quack medicines "as get rid of it in 3 days". Will anyone sensible believe it? Not me, definitely.

Here we go, sit back and join us in the show :)

1. The top of the list is Instant-Hypnosis.com with Release Acne - Hypnosis Downloads. The description on the site says "Just sit back and relax as this powerful recording works to restore your body's natural oils, helping you feel confident in the way you look, enjoy fresh looking, smooth skin, banish spots and pimples for good. Within minutes of listening to this fantastic, 60-minute hypnosis recording, you'll experience a profound and lasting change that will literally amaze you."
Wow, that's amazing :) Hope it will help you to relax, dudes. But will it banish spots and pimples? Definitely, no. It addresses just one side of acne initial reasons - stress and tension. Even removing it completely it won't eliminate acne as it is more complex that stress.

2. Next but not the list goes urine therapy. "I have long held as "common sense" that topical application of urine for acne can actually tame (if not cure) it". I congratulate you with having quite bizarre "common sense". The idea is loosely based on the opinion that acne medicine is mostly made of urine. But it is not true, many creams and medications contain urea, which is one of the main components of urine. Urea is not urine, however. And don't let quacks mislead you by stating a lot of unknown chemical elements that urine has. It might be true for some scientific research, but will do no good to you.

3. Next popular belief is that toothpaste posseses properties that support its usage as an acne treatment. The first place to begin answering this question is to consider the ingredients in common toothpastes and what effect they have on the skin.

In almost any toothpaste you'll find sodium monoflurorophosphate, or simply put, some chemical version of fluoride. Fluoride prevents tooth cavities. But in the skin, fluoride typically causes more damage that it corrects. For example, medicals studies have reported that large does of fluoride could cause systemic poisoning. Though the amount of fluoride in tooth paste is less than one percent you may not want predispose yourself to risk.

If toothpaste does help acne prone skin, it's most likely not due to the fluoride because this chemical can irritate or burn the skin and sometimes provoke skin allergies.

As you see, home remedies for acne come in all flavors of weird. There's the egg yolk mask, handyman soap scrub, lidocaine rub and even a urine toner. And like any trial treatment, homemade treatments for acne may work sheerly because of the placebo effect.

Indeed, why do you go fussing about all over the place, when there are treatments that were tested by many people and proved to be effective? I personally recommend Acnezine - my choice of Best Acne Treatment. It did wonders to my face several years ago, and it will help you!
