When you click on the link, you will leave this lens and be taken to the lens that is being featured. It's a way for lensmasters to entice you to visit more of their lenses.

Once you learn more about traffic and lens rank, you will understand why it's good thing for you to establish yourself as someone whose writings are well worth reading!

Squid Angels are lensmasters who have volunteered to help scour the community in search of great lenses. They are empowered to "bless" your lens in order to add an extra boost to your lens rank.

Those are terms that don't mean much to you right now, but trust me; you will learn!
Once you receive the first comment in your guest book, you will find yourself compelled to write more lenses.

The camaraderie of fellow lensmasters is a large part of the reason that Squidoo is such a successful community. This is a place where people are treated with courtesy and respect, and good lens building is celebrated!

The goal here is for you to establish yourself as the resident expert at whatever it is that you are the resident expert. The subject you write about is totally your decision, and we're here to help you learn how to use Squidoo so you can focus on your writing.

Squid Angels serve in rotation, so Christene keeps us connected to each new round of volunteer Angels.

The Angels role is to help "police" the community, making certain that lenses are built according to standard, as well as searching for and celebrating great lenses. It's a big job to make certain that the lenses being built within the community measure up to the criteria specified by the founders and staff of Squidoo.

Squid Angels are the wind beneath the wings of the community... when you visit their lenses, be sure to shower them with accolades and appreciation!

Giant Squid is another group of lensmasters who are completely addicted to Squidoo!

It takes 50 great lenses to earn the Giant Squid designation... yes, I said 50 lenses, and not just any lens! Lenses are evaluated based on the combination of quality and quantity.

Applications for new Giants are accepted at periodic intervals, so if you are interested in the program, learn what it means to build a great lens; then build 50 of them!

This is a very brief overview of what you can expect when you join the community. The objective of becoming a lensmaster is to establish yourself as the resident expert about your topic.

Once your readers discover the wealth of knowledge that is hidden in your lenses, they will be happy to search you out when they need someone who knows what it is you know!

Unlike newspaper or magazine articles, lenses can be continually modified and updated so your content will always be nice and fresh...
Your readers will reward your efforts by becoming faithful followers; not to mention the fact that they can become some of your best word of mouth advertisers!

Squidoo has changed my life.. for the good!

I became a member of Squidoo in October, 2006, but I had no idea of the amazing changes that were about to be thrust upon my life!

I have always been an active crafter, and have always dreamed of owning my own crafting business. Squidoo has been the platform I've needed to sift, sort and refine my thinking about who I am, what I do and how I spend my time.

Since I have become a lensmaster, the process of building, managing, and maintaining my lenses and groups has helped me define and refine my life goals and purposes.

I have been able to clearly define my crafting niche, and my crafting plans and ideas are developing into the business I've always dreamed about!

It's an exciting challenge to face each new day... I've got about a gazillion crafty plans and projects in mind, and I'm using Squidoo to bring them into an organized structure that works for me; AND for those in my target audience. I love it when a plan comes together, don't you?
