Swimming with the Giant Squids
I want to be a Giant Squid!
For now I am still in the wading pool, but I want to swim with the Giant Squids! I thought it would be good to start my lensography now while there aren't too many lenses and then it will be easy to add as I go. I present to you my humble beginnings.Update: On Oct 6, 2008 I was accepted as a Giant Squid! Yay! I get to swim with the Giant Squids! Thanks to everyone who helped me along the way, especially Thomas C.
Update: Now I am going for the 100 Club by March 31, 2009. It is January 3rd and I have 68 lenses.
Update: April 7 and I missed the March 31 deadline for Top 100. We'll see if I make it by June. I currently have 81 lenses.

Welcome to My World
In a former life Stargazer00 was a roulette and 21 dealer. She was once a floral designer, and is a retired homeschooling mom. An avid reader, she loves nothing better than to settle into a good book series.
Food is high up there on her list of interests, especially rhubarb pie and macaroni and cheese. Having given up fashionable shoes for comfort, she has worn only Crocs for the past two years because her feet feel happy in them.
In her college days she went backpacking in the Gila Wilderness of New Mexico.
Stargazer00 has visited every state west of the Mississippi as well as Mexico and Canada. In Canada she discovered poutine which is available in every fast food restaurant across Canada and now on her list of favorite foods.
She kibbitzes every day with a group of online friends that she has known for twelve years, seven of which she has met in real life. Soon to be an empty nester, she has a wonderful husband with whom she has raised three lovable sons.
CafePress, Paperback Swap, Zazzle and Squidoo are a few of her online interests. Originally from Iowa, she spent many years living and working on the south shore of Magnificent Lake Tahoe but now she lives in the Pacific Northwest which she loves.

- Dianne, t'would appear we have a few interests in common...books, travel, FOOD. I have two teenage sons; you have me wondering how old your 'almost grown' sons are. My husband just left the Canadian Air Force for the reserves. I'm guessing that there is a navy connection in your household!
