The Butterfly Effect (2004)

The Butterfly Effect is a fantasy/drama movie about a young man who finds a way to travel back through time and alter his own past. The phrase 'butterfly effect' refers to the idea that a butterfly's wings might create tiny changes in the atmosphere that ultimately cause a tornado to appear. Just like that, the small changes the main character Evan Treborn made to his past in order to improve his life had unexpected and terrible consequences.

Butterfly Effect was directed and written by Eric Bress and J. Mackye Gruber. The cast is Ashton Kutcher, Amy Smart, Eric Stoltz, and other great actors. This movie is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat throughout its 113 minutes runtime!

Butterfly Effect is a thrilling, inventive and very disturbing movie. It involves alternate realities and time travel, which will make your head spin. This director's cut also has a different, much better (and darker!) ending than the cinema version. Watch it if you think you can handle the chilling ride!

TwinsMama says:

Great movie! But, the images were so disturbing I don't think I can watch it again. It's still on my top movies of all time list though.

Vacation-In-My-Head says:

I absolutely love this movie. I don't usually watch movies over and over, but this is one that I can watch many times.

dc64 says:

One of the best movies I've seen in a long time

NAIZA says:

I love this movie! I like the first one rather than the sequel.

JamesAffiliates says:

I thought it was a great movie! And any others like this, the second one that came out was ok, but not as original as the first, I thought.

Judel says:

I loved this movie and have seen it several times...though I don't care for the director's cut. I personally do not feel OK about the only way for him to help everyone was to never have existed. Nice guys don't grow on trees. The theatrical ending is much better!

Chadrew says:

It was the other way round for me. I saw the DVD and had no idea a happy ending existed until later.

fefe says:

I liked it. I didn't see the director's cut version and think I'll stay away from it after reading about the ending.

Butterfly Effect is no good!

Adam_Chandler says:

It's almost as lame as Ashton Kutcher himself. What a tool! The concept is kind of cool, I guess. The concept of the movie, I mean. Not the concept of Ashton Kutcher.
