Life or Something Like It
Angelina Jolie stars as Lanie Kerrigan, a TV reporter in Seattle who is engaged to a Mariners baseball player, and is in the running for her dream job on AM USA. In other words, her life is going perfectly. Her boss sticks her with Pete, a camera man she can't stand, to report out in the field. She interviews a homeless guy called "Prophet Jack" who yells predictions to those who pass by. He made predictions about the score of a football game and that it will unexpectedly hail tomorrow.
He surprised Lanie by a prediction that she will die next Thursday. She doesn't believe him until his other predictions come true. Then she starts to believe that she is going to die and tries to change the course of her life and find meaning.
