I dare anyone to say Top Gun is not an awesome film - it may be cheesy but it does have one of the best sound tracks ever put to a film and some of the flying scenes are up there with the best of them.
Even now so many years afterwards I still get a shiver up my spine during the opening sequence!
The thrill and appeal of Naval aviators combined with an awesome sound track and of course the obligatory romance. This film may be cheesey in a lot of ways but I am sure a decision to become a pilot was made by thousands of young people all acorss the world after watching this film
