Joaquin Phoenix as Johnny Cash

This lens is about the movie Walk the line and how well it was made compared to Johnny Cash's life. The purpose of this lens is to tell you about the music, J.R's Life in General and Joaquin Phoneix that played his role in this great movie. "Walk the Line" star Joaquin Phoenix doesn't hide the fact he's not fond of speaking to the press. A notoriously private actor, Phoenix will actually get up and leave interviews without any notice if someone from the press strays off the topic of whatever film Phoenix is currently promoting. That said, if the buzz surrounding Phoenix's performance in "Walk the Line" continues to build, he may just have to bite the bullet and submit to another round of interviews come award season.

Phoenix's portrayal of musical legend Johnny Cash is earning the actor some of the best reviews of his career, with critics praising his riveting portrayal of the Man in Black as worthy of an Academy Award nomination. Phoenix poured his heart into the role, and even sings Cash's songs (something Jamie Foxx didn't attempt in last year's big award winner, "Ray") in the biopic which was written and directed by James Mangold ("Cop Land," "Girl, Interrupted").

Joaquin's Potrayal of the legend Johnny cash has inspired many like myself to start singing and listening to his songs and not just folsom prison blues or ring of fire! Personaly I prefer Joaquins singing than Johnny cash himself. I would love to know what your opinion is of this, please leave a coment at the bottom of the page!

What happened to Joaquin Phoenix?

What happened to Joaquin Phoenix? Seriously, I'd really like to know. The actor supposedly threw his career into the trash heap to pursue hip-hop music? Really?!

And it gets even weirder ... Joaquin appeared on the "Late Show" and engaged in the most bizarre interview with David Letterman. He barely spoke and chewed gum the entire time he was on the show. Thankfully, he wasn't on Letterman's show to promote his rap skills. The actor-turned-rapper-turned-hobo lookalike stars in his last film apparently,'Two Lovers,' which could be his last film.

What do you think of Joaquin's appearance? Is the actor just pulling our leg? Watch this clip of Joaquin Phoenix's interview on Letterman and make up your own mind.

My prediction

I predict Joaquin Phoenix will realise how much he misses acting and will go back to act in many years time.
