Welcome to the World of Webkinz!

Webkinz are small, cute plush stuffed animals. Sounds simple enough right? Well...that would be right except that Webkinz have a tag with a hidden, secret code. Take that code, input it at www.webkinz.com and officially adopt your pet, then your cute plush animal comes to life in an online, virtual world! And, its a viral, sticky, keep your child (or you) entertained for hours type of world! You can dress your pet, feed your pet, and decorate your pet's house. To be able to "afford' all of that for your pet, you'll have to earn KinzCash by playing games, asnwering trivia questions and working a Webkinz job! Parents like it because it's educational and teaches children how to care for something, how economies work, etc. Kids like it because it is fun!

Of course, if that were all, we wouldn't  have a craze, just a fun toy. But, due to a recent, sudden upsurge in popularity for Webkinz (as more members joined, as the site got more complez and engaging, and as the press started covering Webkinz) coupled with a shortage of Webkinz both from the manufacturer and retailers nationwide, and a true craze is in the making.  Kids just HAVE to have a particular pet to bring to life on the Webkinz site, adults simply can't help themselves from selling the really rare, retired Webkinz on eBay for hundreds of dollars, and, well, welcome to the Webkinz Craze!

I'm smack in the middle of that craze as a commentator on dolls and related items at my About.com web site, and as the owner of Katherine's Cottage a doll and bear shop in California which, of course, sells Webkinz, Webkinz Trading Cards, Charms and ALL thing Webkinz!

Top 10 Ways to Make KinzCash Fast! TOP KINZCASH Makiing Tips! 

Because you really, really need to improve your Webkinz' house!

1. Spin the Wheel of Wow. Once daily.

2. Spin the Wishing Well Wheel 5 spins daily.

3. Don't just play games...if you are good at a particular game, play it in the Tournament Arena! Extra KinzCash if you place well.

4. Adopt another pet. You'll get an extra 2,500 KinzCash to help take care of it. That's lots of games!

5. Do the trivia questions at Quizzy's! Truly, answering trivia is by far, the fastest way to earn KinzCash in Webkinz world. And, its fun, too!

6. Play the game of the day. You'll earn KinzCash faster!

7. Try to do the hourly Daily Activities. Many are ways to make additional amounts of KinzCash. If you see the Great Big Button of Kinz Cash, don't miss it (I once won 1,200+ Kinzcash on that..yup, sometimes an EXTRA digit pops up! Other good ones to earh KinzCash include Quizzy's Blast and Balloon Darts. There are also sometimes extra spins on the Wheel of Wow and spins on the Wheel of Yum!

8. Get Webkinz Trading Cards! You can win KinzCash and great items you can sell.

9. Do Arte's Gem Hunt, and sell your gems! Some can be worth several hundred KinsCash. You can always try for that Legendary Crown of Wonder later!

10. Be really, really nice to your kid (parent) with their big Webkinz mansion and all those cool Webkinz items they have compared to you, maybe they'll send you some gifts that you can sell!

Why Can't I Play Webkinz From 9pm to 11pm Pacific Time? 

A Webkinz Rant!

Webkinz is now a major site. I read recently that it has MORE visitors than the well-established and crazily popular Neopets. SO, I think it is time for Webkinz to start acting like every other site on the Internet and NOT shut down during prime playing time on the West Coast!

Webkinz shuts down for "service" every single night from approximately 9pm to 11pm pacific coast time. Sure, that is Midnight to 2am on the East Coast, but that is PRIME play time for, well, Moms like me. ALL rhe Moms who play on the West Coast complain about this, including my customers. For goodness sakes, we go to work, deal with dinner, then put the kids to bed, and its time for a little ME time with our Webkinz pets...but, no, can't do. Have to go play with my Neopets instead.

Ahem. I know this site was created for children, but surely by now Ganz knows that many adults have Webkinz too, and many others are busy earning KinzCash for their kids after they've gone to bed. Also, what other major Internet sitet that you can thing of just goes down for a few hours every single day? That's right. None!!

I'm glad to see that the site has become much more reliable during the day. Big kudos to Webkinz! But its time for Webkinz to figure out why and how all the other sites on the World Wide Web stay "online" for virtually 24 hours a day except for very occassional service, and emulate those sites.

OK, rant is done...you may go back to playing with your Webkinz now!

    I love webkinz i play on it every day that i am not grounded! I wish i could have every webkinz they ever made but its never gonna happen. I have 124 webkinz but on three accounts and my friends help me! here is my username skappydoo and sparkelingskrappy be my friend and send me stuff if you send me a lot i will send you three good things every day like plumpy glasses white bunny ears panda slide red lava and way way way way more!     you no it is kinda rude that you are telling people how many webkinz you have cause some of us cant afford to have (75) webkinz you no so all you need to do is shut up and keep those personal thoughts to your self cause you are making people feel bad when you dont even no it okay thank you for your time
