The Westell 6100 Modem
The Westell 6100 modem is quite easy to operate and will be a great asset if you are looking for an adsl modem. Unlike past modem models, the 6100 tunes automatically for optimized performce on impaired loops. Or another way of saying that is this modem will correct itself and operate at the best speed possible given the connection and the degree (and quality) of connectivity.
This modem also helps if you have in-home wiring in place. The 6100 eliminates the negative impact from network based bridged taps.
Westell's 6100 is also great because you can set-up and configure all your settings with you web browser. Highly user friendly and easy to install, but not bad on the budget at all. Westell stands behind all their products, manufacture their equipment in the USA and they are based out of Aurora, Illinois. Westell stock trades on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange. Overall the company is strong, and very accesible. Sounds like a winner.
Overall, a fine device for anyone in the market for a quality modem. Westell has been relying on this little modem as a core sales component for their consumer group, with a fair price they keep selling a good quantity.
