Voted numerous times as the best place for a burger in Bangkok, Garage Burger offers 13 different kinds of burgers along with chicken, seafood, salads, pasta, soups and a special kids menu. I've eaten here and their burgers are delicious and huge. They have tasty home style fries cut from real potatoes with the skins still on. You get a nice view from the CentralWorld branch as well.

Tenderloins is a newer and beautifully designed Australian bar and grill serving delicious imported steaks and has an Australian wine bar. Tenderloins is consistently rated as having some of the best imported steaks and BBQ choices in Bangkok. There's also a kid's selection of chicken nuggets, hamburgers and cheeseburgers, sausage and fries.

BRITISH:
My personal experience with pubs is that unless you're with a group of friends, it feels a bit intimidating to go in by yourself and have a meal. There's certainly a good ole boy's club feel about some of them, unless you go to one of the pubs in the more touristy areas.

That being said, some of these pubs are fantastic for Christmas dinner, so if you can get a group of friends together for the holiday, you can't have a better night out in celebration!

Reviews about Oh my Cod! have been spectacular. They serve up a wide range of both British and Thai food including traditional fish & chips, full English breakfast, oven baked potatoes and home baked pies. The mince and onion pie and steak & kidney pie especially have gotten two thumbs up!

The Barbican Bar & Brasserie boasts that it is the only place in Bangkok with a Tapas Bar. Many Thais and expats gather after work for a brew and some conversation. Food includes appetizers, salads, steaks, hot and cold sandwiches, mushroom stroganoff, chicken ricotta and boef bourguignon. Traditional "pub grub" includes chicken pie, bangers and mash, fish and chips, steak and Guinness pie and shepherd's pie.

Bully's Pub features five brews on tap, including Guinness and Kilkenny's. Food includes burgers and sandwiches and pub fare such as sausage and mash, steak and kidney pie, shepherd's pie, fish n' chips and shrimp scampi. Grilled lamb, salmon, chicken and pork chops are also offered.

Near the Villa Supermarket and Emporium, the Bull's Head is a popular pub for expat Brits. The Punchline Comedy Club is regularly held here and you can reserve your tickets via the website.

O'Reillys Irish pub is located where the Sala Daeng Skytrain meets Soi Thaniya on Silom Road, at the heart of the Patpong night market. Menus must have consolidated with Robin Hood and Hanrahans because it is the same on each website. Live sports broadcasts and bands perform weekly.

Even though it looks a bit dingy on the outside, this authentic British pub is small and cozy on the inside with great food reviews. Of course on offer is plenty of traditional British comfort food - lots of the favorites, like fish and chips, bangers and mash, chops and apparently they have pretty decent burgers.

Comprised of a restaurant, deli and bakery, Bei Otto has been established in Bangkok offering fine German cuisine since 1984. Some sausages offered are Thüringer frying sausage, Nürnberger pork grilled sausages, Vienna and white sausages.

Rossini's has had plenty of positive reviews for the culinary skills of the chefs. The baked snow fish has been raved about as well as the classic Italian sauces using Shitake mushrooms to imbibe them with an Eastern flavor. Main dishes include steaks, pasta, seafood and pizza. Decadent desserts top off your meal.

You can dine at Dulio's indoors in the comfort of air conditioning, or outside on the terrace. The Sukhumvit restaurant boasts a wood fire oven imported from Italy to prepare the pizza. There's a huge choice of a la carte selections separated into different categories, the first, offering 22 different authentic types of pizza. There are numerous soups, appetizers and 12 salads.

Scoozi is known for its high-quality ingredients, with homemade pastas and sausages, salmon from Norway and Parma Ham and mozzarella from Italy. It serves pizza, pasta, sandwiches, salads, desserts and drinks as on site and takeaway items. The traditional Margherita pizza is offered as well as house specialty pizzas such as the Salsiccia made with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese and homemade Italian sausage.

The menu is divided into sections for soups, appetizers, seafood, meats and Pico's Latin grilled specialties. Señor Pico consistently tops the list for good Mexican food in Bangkok.

The most popular item on their menu is the burritos, followed by crispy tacos. You get many choices for all items: black, red or refried beans, sour cream or cheese, four kinds of salsa and the meat options are grilled chicken, seasoned ground beef, carnitas (pork), Barbacoa (shredded beef) or carne asada (grilled steak). Overall a big thumbs up from expats!

The food inspired by Coyote originates in the Southwestern USA and also features Tex-Mex favorites such as chimichangas, enchiladas and quesadillas. Other items include burritos, firehouse chili and sopa de ajo - roasted garlic soup. The nachos have the best reviews and this is the place for drinks; serving 75 kinds of margaritas, 50 different tequilas.

Touted by many guidebooks to be the best place in town for steaks, New York Steakhouse prides itself on its beef entrees. Cuts of fresh chilled meat are cooked to order and arrive on your plate with little adornment so you can choose to put sauces on it - or not. Five cuts of steak are served at the restaurant: Fillet Mignon, Rib Eye, Striploin, T-bone and Porterhouse.

This is a very classy restaurant with formal ambiance and cool décor. Madison serves favorites such as steak from the United States and Australia as well as Norwegian salmon, Andaman lobster, crispy duck and ruby fish; all healthy servings on gigantic white porcelain plates.

Neil's Tavern has been around for nearly 40 years and although it says it's a tavern, this is a classy restaurant. Serving imported beef from Japan, the USA and Australia, cuts include T-Bones, Kobe, Rib Eye, Prime Rib, Lamb, and New York Steak. Pork, chicken and seafood dishes are also available.

SWISS:

Each description on the menu at Chesa looks divine. This is probably the most reputable Swiss restaurant in Bangkok. One of the signature dishes on the appetizer list is capuns, which are Swiss chard dumplings made of bacon, onion and cheese and served in a light cream and herb sauce. The menu changes weekly and the highlight for many is the chocolate fondue dessert with fresh fruit for dipping.

Swiss Corner is a little out of the city on Ramkamhaeng Road in the Bangkapi area. The restaurant offers a variety of soups, salads, cheese fondues, meat dishes and desserts plus Swiss Weiss beer, Swiss wines and liquors.

Cities like Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Phuket, Hua Hin and others with an expat population and tourism will have western restaurants. In my e-book,
