Children's Learning World is a business owned by a local family. Cheryl Thivierge of Westfield, MA, became interested in owning this store when Hammett's closed. Her oldest daughter, Sabrena, worked for Hammett's and told her that the teachers were upset they were closing and didn't know where they would be able to go to get their supplies and materials. Her daughter urged her to rent the space and start up her own business, which is exactly what she did.

Cheryl was also a customer at Hammett's because of the wonderful educational books, games and toys they sold. She wanted to keep this store going not only for the teachers but for the parents and grandparents as well. Because our children are their future.
