Largest Fish of the Sea
The Whale is the largest and one of the most magnificent creatures of the sea.
In the Bible, they are sometimes referred to as dragons, or monsters of the sea,
The most famous whale story in the Bible tells us about Jonah, and how he was swallowed up by one of these magnificent sea creatures.
Let's study some more about whales, and find out how Jonah got into,
AND OUT OF that whale!
Whales mentioned in the Bible
Isaiah 27:1 - In that day, the LORD will punish with his sword, his fierce, great and powerful sword, Leviathan the gliding serpent, Leviathan the coiling serpent; he will slay the monster of the sea.
Jonah 1:17 - But the LORD provided a great fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was inside the fish three days and three nights.
Psalm 74:13 - It was you who split open the sea by your power; you broke the heads of the monster in the waters.
Matthew 12:40 - For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
