This lens has been made because i came across something i never new existed. I was so appalled and sickened, that i just had to do something to help stop the slaughter.

I was on the net reading many articles on animal welfare. To my horror i saw pictures of brutally massacred dolphins. I was completely sickened, the photos were just the most awful thing ive ever seen. Men hacking Dolphins to death with spears and machetes. The water is pure red.

I continued to watch the videos taken by conservation societies, that are trying to bring an end to these annual kills, it was so terrible, i felt physically sick, i cannot believe even now, that people can brutally capture, brutally handle, and brutally kill such gentle, intelligent, animals.  Even now it is in my thoughts. Its just so inhumane, so barbaric.

They defend themselves by using the word, Culture, a culture that is theirs, This is no culture, this is nothing but mass murder...

I will do everything i can possible to help end this brutality.

Please help the dolphins in Japan.

Cruelty at its worst

The Unforgivable brutal murder

The fishermen in villages like Taiji, go out in small boats to known dolphin migratory routes. Positioning their boats strategically, they space out to form a line and wait for the dolphins. When the dolphins arrive, the fishermen drop long metal pipes into the water, and by banging on the pipes they create a wall of sound. The sound interferes with the dolphins' ability to navigate - it disorients and panics them. The dolphins swim away from the sound, and the fisherman maneuver their boats herding them into a small shallow bay. Once in the bay, nets are drawn across the mouth of the bay to keep them penned in.
The fishermen usually injure a few of the captive dolphins with a spear thrust or a knife slash - dolphins will not abandon these wounded family members.

Trapped in the shallow water, the dolphins mill about trying to stay as far from land as possible until the next morning. In the morning, the fishermen draw the nets in, forcing the dolphins closer to shore where they kill them by stabbing and slashing them with knives and hooks. The dolphins thrash about for as long as six minutes each as they slowly bleed to death, turning the sea literally red with their blood.

After the massacre, the bodies of the dolphins are taken to a slaughter house to be butchered. The meat is severely contaminated but is sold without warnings in supermarkets in Japan - supermarkets often owned by US and European chains.

If you love Dolphins, Help Them Please..

This lens contains the evidence of the brutal massacre of innocent dolphins.
Dolphins have always been known to interact with humans, they are incredibly intelligent, friendly, curious, and cheeky
How can man betray them in the worst act of cruelty and brutality, there is no place for this unnecessary inhumane butchery in our world...

Japanese Dolphin Massacre

I have always had a deep love and respect for Dolphins. They are so intelligent, and beautiful. I had no idea what was going on in Japan, I am sickened and horrified that any human being could treat such wonderful mammals in such a disgusting way. I am heart broken, this must end, no one has the right to butcher, abuse, and hack to death an innocent defenceless animal...It bloody stinks

Beautiful Dolphins

I want to see these wonderful intelligent creatures back in the sea, free, with their own families, and protected from captivity and slaughter

These Dolphins that we see in aquariams all over the world, have been caught in these brutal drive hunts.Calves are torn from their mothers. Mothers have been filmed in terrible distress, struggleing, and fighting, almost screaming in distress, as their calves are driven away in different directions from them. These dolphins are sold for very large sums of money, from 30,000 to 100,000 dollars to these aquariums, where they will be tought to perform and entertain. The effects of captivity are never noticed by humans who have paid lots of money to see the shows!!
