If you are thinking about doing the master cleanse detox diet then you can be prepared for quite a journey which is going to bring you great health and weight loss benefits but also some serious hardship in the process. What can I eat on the lemonade detox diet was the question I immediately asked when i first took on the challenge to do this detox and i did not like the answer

Nothing solid. No vegetables. No meat. Not even any fruit other than lemons. Nothing i could sink my teeth into for 10 whole days ... i thought i had bitten off more than i could chew!

What You Can & Can Not Eat on the Lemonade Detox Diet 

Ok here is the definitive list of everything you can and cannot eat during this lemonade detox diet!

What to Consume

  • Lemon juice
  • Lemon zest
  • Lime Juice
  • Lime Zest
  • Water
  • Salt Water
  • Grade B Maple Syrup
  • Cayenne Pepper


What Not to Consume

Everything else!! I am serious nothing else at all but i will include a few foods that mistakenly get included.

  • Grade A maple syrup - This is more refined than the grade B and has less nutrients.
  • Honey - Many try to substitute honey for maple syrup, this is not the same thing.
  • Coffee, Tea or Cola - Caffeine and sugar are not good during this detox

Lemonade Detox Secrets 

I found this very difficult and started and failed three times before i lasted a full 10 days. I was plagued by hunger, headaches, join pain, lacks of energy and even vomiting. It was very unpleasant.

I turned to the internet to find out why i was having such a hard time and found other also experiencing similar things. A kind soul pointed me towards a downloadable e-book called Master Cleanse Secrets and said it could help. I was skeptical as i had already gleaned a lot from browsing the net but gave it a try.

Well i have to say that this book really helped me get through it all. I am so thankful to that person who directed me and want to let others know about it if they are also having trouble with the detox or if they might be about to start and are wondering the best way to proceed.

After the 10 days i started weaning myself back onto solid foods and i found i lost about 8 Kgs and felt more full of energy than before! I now do this a couple of times a year and feel much better for it.
