What If? . . .

All great things start with an idea. "What if?" then is the open door to endless possibilities and only our mind's limitations can prevent us from walking through the portals.

Here I'm opening this lens to you! I'll post some questions based on Quantum Physics and you tell the rest of us what you think.

You can comment on the questions, or you can comment on other people's comments.

Life

as we know it . . .

In Quantum physics, everything we see is merely a perception. All things are part of the One Universe, a wave of energy that is made up of pure consciousness. Through this consciousness, we as observers can determine how it all manifests itself.

Of course we've been programmed to see things a certain way, but what if this way wasn't exactly true?

What if our entire lives were just a figment of our collective imaginations?

Ok, so here's the big question . . .

If Quantum physics is the "clearer picture" of how the Universe really is, and everything is merely a perception, how do we know that we're really alive and thus what does life mean?

ChuangTzu a student of LaoTzu related a dream he had about being a butterfly. When he woke up he asked the question, "Am I man who dreamed he was a butterfly, or am I a butterfly dreaming I'm a man?" Everything is perception :)

I believe the only way to know that we are alive is to experience it deeply, personally. Perhaps then, we will re-evaluate our concepts of what it means to be alive. Is it only our imagination that is truly alive? Could it be that we are only conscious energy imagining a physical, dualistic "reality"? I don't know...yet.

Death

is it real? . . .

If we and everything in the world around us is a reflection or manifestation of the One Universe, then we're subject to the same Law of Reversion that causes the ebb and flow of the energy wave of consciousness.

Question . . .

If this is the case, then what is death?

I wonder if the caterpiller fears tranforming into a butterfly as much as humans fear the change of expression that we call death. Is it as attached to it's familiar form as we are to ours?

Perhaps death is also a perception? Have you ever wondered how many ways there are to limit yourself? If the latest research into quantum physics is right and quanta only respond to conscious thought and arrange themselves into matter because of thought, then in how many ways can we limit ourselves?

Dreams

is it real or memorex? . . .

Its said that when we sleep, we're in an "unconscious state." Yet our minds are obviously still functioning as we observe what its telling us through dreams.

So dreams must then be thought!

And we know that thought is consciousness, so . . .

Are our dreams simply a different level of awareness that keep us on our journey to Universal realization? Or are they the mindless babbling of unconsciousness?
