What is a vision board and How Do You Make One?

Vision boards are very powerful tools when used in conjunction with the law of attraction.

The law of attraction states, that which is like unto itself is drawn. What that means is if you are maintaining a vibration that matches what you are wanting, more things will come your way to make you feel that way.

It is really important when creating a vision board that you not only create it, but use it. A vision board is a tool to help you create a matching vibration to what it is you want to have/be or do in your life and in your world.

You don't want to just look at the pictures on your vision board, you want to take a minute and FEEL IT. Yes, feel what it would feel like if those pictures on your vision board were actually part of your life.

If you want to be thin, think about, feel what it would feel like to be your ideal size. How would you feel walking and moving through the world, how would you hold yourself? All of this FEELING is what makes a vision board really work.

Creating an electronic vision board with vision board software creates a wonderful reminder for us to take a moment and feel our vision life. This works especially well if you work at your computer a lot during the day.

It only takes 17 consecutive seconds of feeling a vibration to bring it into reality.

Having your vision board moving across your computer screen provides plenty of time to look, relax, and feel.

Vision Board software

Make a Powerful Vision Board to Manifest Your Life's Dreams

Putting together a cardboard vision board can be fun, and it will certainly work, but using vision board software takes the experience to a whole new level.

The software is very easy to use, as you saw in the above video. You basically can go through, choose images that make you feel good. Make sure you choose images that give you that really excited feeling inside. You know the one, the one that moves you into feeling what it might really be like to have those things. It's the same feeling I get on the way to check my lottery numbers, when I get lost in a daydream of how my life will look when I hear the "I'm in the money" song when the teller puts my ticket in the machine.

I have had regular vision boards in the past and did not really think the software would be that much different, but there is something about seeing my dream images floating past me on the screen that moves my spirit. Even after watching for a few seconds while thinking of just what I want to write for an article I am feeling uplifted and inspired.

This software not only provides you with images to look at ~ be it from their image library or your own images ~ you can also write in affirmations at the bottom. So your eye scans the affirmation as you are watching the images. This is an excellent way for your subconscious to really let the information in. Your ego is not saying "oh no that will never happen" it's just easily sliding in your subconscious.

You also decide on a power word for each image. The Power word goes on the top of the page. I frequently found myself noticing the power word as I looked up or moved. So seeing words like FUN, SELF LOVE, COURAGE, and whatever words move you is a wonderful energy boost throughout the day.

You can add audio to your vision board. You know how in the movies the music sets the tone and can take you places the words don't? Adding music to your vision board does the same thing. It seems to lift the images to an even higher level and let them sink deeper into my soul.

You can choose to add music or you can add your own voice saying your affirmations. Your affirmations will play as long as your vision board is scrolling your screen. It has been shown that hearing your own voice saying your affirmations has the ability to penetrate deep into your psyche allowing the affirmations to work much quicker. It is nice to hear me say these wonderful things about my life.

All in all, I really didn't think I needed vision board software. I have been living the law of attraction for many years. I thought I had a pretty good handle on it, in fact, I am often able to manifest my desires quite quickly. Since I started using the vision board on my computer I have found I am feeling lighter, more joyful, and my intentions are manifesting at light speed.

I highly recommend getting the vision board software and letting your intentions begin to manifest in your life.

Pop Up Affirmation Reminders

My favorite vision board feature

This is a small feature of my vision board software I hadn't realized existed until I started using it. It has quickly become my favorite and the most powerful for me.

At the bottom of my computer screen every so often pops up a small message. Because it pops up it grabs my attention. I quickly read it and realize it is one of my affirmations.

Quickly read with no resistance my affirmations easily make their way into my subconscious and work their magic.

I have really been surprised how effective that one technique is. Where in the past I have forgotten to repeat my affirmations or even really think about them, the little pop up affirmation makes it so easy.

What have you manifested with a vision board?

I'd love to hear about your manifestations with a vision board. Please feel free to leave a comment telling us your story!

I lost weight (around 90 pounds), got better after severe illness, got a gorgeous Italian man and moved into a place with him! I also fulfilled my dream of writing and setting up my tarot website. It works, but I have to admit I did it the old way; corkboard and lots of printing and cutting! I love the idea of Vison Board software, so will definitely check that out. Great lens.

I made one about a year ago and it's wonderful - it still makes me smile to see all my hopes and dreams and you're right - the little pop up at the bottom of the screen with the different affirmations is perfect. You've made a great Lens, thanks.

I think this is definately the way to go these days. I'm trying to convince friends and family to make their own vision board. I wish someone could come up with a cool way to convince teens to do this too without thinking it was silly.

    Great Lens, thank you!

Thank you for this great blog. The law of attraction really works. It has changed my life for the better in so many ways that it is impossible to list them all on here. I have used a vision board and through it I have healed my chronic depression and brought me a warm and loving family. In fact it has had such a profound effect on my life that I have started my own blog to share with others how they too can change their lives for the better! I totally agree with the others who have commented before me. You have one nice article there. The steps are well explained and quite easy to follow. Just like you, I am also a fervent supporter of vision boards and the law of attraction. Another term for vision board is Dream board or treasure map, and is an amazingly proven tool in attracting success and prosperity.

Yes! Awesome idea. I made TWO smaller (more manageable!) vision boards ? one for my office and one for home. I found that using more pictures and less words worked the best for me. I'm also going to try to ?change the landscape' of the boards from time-to-time to keep them fresh.

For extra inspiration I went for some good-looking cork boards with custom frames on them that I picked out online at http://www.wholesalecustomframe.com/ . I'm sure there are other places as well, but FWIW this place was pretty cheap.

Great lens! It is so important to surround yourself with reminders and triggers to bring your focus back to what you want to attract. It is such an easy, and unconscious, habit to focus on what you don't want and a vision board is a valuable tool to replace that habit with focusing on what you do want.

Can't wait to see more of what you have to say!

I used a Vision Board when I first met my husband. The focus of it was children. I made most of the board with pictures of happy smiley children that I cut out of family magazine and then I put a picture of my husband and I in the middle of the board. We both want a big family so I made a board that showed us surrounded by happy smiley children.

I had it up on the wall for only a few months before I took it down for some reason. I put it in the hall closet and kind of forgot about it. Now, it's funny, I made that board back in 2005, which was 4 years ago. I JUST remembered it recently when I was thinking about making more collages. We now have a 2 year old daughter, a 1 year old daughter and a 3 month old son! It worked like a charm and I didn't even have it up the whole time! We just kept getting pregnant like crazy!

I place a photo of my son and his five chidren on my vision board. I have not seen them or had any contact for 4 1/2 years, and yesterday my son came for a lovely friendly and positve visit. He wants to keep in touch. My vision board worked ; after placing that photo 3 days prior. Although I dream and pray for him to make contact, I believe that having a visual photo is what helped bring it alive.
