What is Brainwave Entrainment?
What is brainwave entrainment?
Before I answer this question, I'd like to you to consider something.
Let's imagine for a second that there was a way to mentally make yourself:
~quickly relax right after a stressful day
~get laser focus before starting a project
~remember more information when you study
~get more energy fast without drugs
Well, there is a way to control your brain. It's safe, easy and drug-free. It is a process called brainwave entrainment using binaural waves.
This article will explore and answer the question, "What is brainwave entrainment?".

But, what IS brainwave entrainment?
Simply put, brainwave or mental entrainment is causing the brain to produce a certain state in response to outside stimuli.
A good example of this - and one that works well, I might add - is listening to binaural sounds.
Your brainwaves naturally operate by different frequencies (or waves) that induce different states of being. (Frequencies that you can "entrain" to behave the way you want.) These frequencies are:
~Delta - between 1-3 Hz - this is the state you're in when in deep, dreamless sleep
~Theta - between 4-7 Hz - this is your REM sleep or deep meditation
~Alpha - between 8-12 Hz - this is when you're totally relaxed, but still awake
~Beta - between 13-25 Hz - this is normal awake and alert
So, all we have to do is play sounds between 8-12 Hz to totally relax, right?
Not exactly. See, the human ear can not hear sounds below 20 Hz. That's where binaural sounds come in.
Binaural beats or sounds produce what is called brainwave entrainment.

What does Binaural Sound have to do with Brainwave Entrainment?
Binaural sound (or binaural beats) cause brainwave entrainment.
What is brainwave entrainment and how do binaural beats or sounds effect it?
They work like this.
Binaural sound will play, on headphones, a different tone frequency in each ear. Lets say a tone of 200 Hz in one ear and 210 Hz in the other ear. Your brain will produce, on it's own, the difference of those two tones, called a binaural beat. What is that difference? 10 Hz. That is exactly the frequency your brainwaves produce in your Alpha state! Then your brain will "entrain" toward that state, causing tranquil relaxation.
That is the answer to "what is brainwave entrainment". You're "training" your mind to make you relax by producing that frequency that occurs naturally in the brain when it is in that Alpha state.
Pretty cool, huh?

What is the Best Way to Cause Brainwave Entrainment and what are the Benefits?
What is brainwave entrainment? It's relaxation, increased focus, better memory and mental clarity are just a few benefits of binaural hearing. It's also been controversially used to artificially produce the effects of alcohol and drugs!
Brainwave entrainment is, in my opinion, best caused by listening to binaural sound. There are many different places to get them, but I've found an EXCELLENT source that will work in as little as 5 minutes! Go to www.binauralsound.info to find out more!
