This Lens is Written During the Introduction of a New Kitten
At the same time of making this "about me" type lens for an examination, I am introducing a new kitten to the clan. Born late for kittens, June 4th, now July 28th so he's a great age to introduce, because he's extra cute, even to other animals. To my surprise Tiny Pearl has no problem with him so far. The little thing was afraid of Lulu though, but now all 3 are laying out on the floor since it's about 90 degrees. So hot the fans and small air conditioner are just making it livable. We lost 3 elderly pets in the past year. To feel better we got a new puppy. Usually while the puppy(Cosmo) is young it's a good time to bring in a kitten so they will be good friends. The kitten has not met Pizazz yet, but soon will. Maybe they will get along since the kitten is a male. Woo, look at that! Dang too dark for the camera. Nothing cuter than a half pound kitten trying to look big at strange cats. Lulu is getting closer.

Yup! An animal person, that's me. I finally figured out that I'm comfortable with a certain number of animals per square feet I live in. LolA way to tell you about myself is to explain our home to you.
Upon entering or maybe even before entering you will see that it is the home of CCP(Crazy Cat People)
Several strays have claimed the area outside and under the house. Once inside the puppy Cosmo and Pearl will come to greet you as Lulu watches from her dent in the couch.
The cats have many places to sleep and cat and puppy toys are all over. Spare no expense, when it comes to the pets.
I have a huge collection of cat figures and Breyer horses.
After you see all the collectibles, you will see that my desk is made up of paint, and other art supplies. Pens, brushes, tools and glues fill up cans. I also have a huge assortment of hobby train parts.
Pizazz Meets Kitten
The one to worry about
Oh! Pizazz is here, she sees the kitten and going up to it.. Wow! You should have seen that, Pearl was protecting the little one. You just never know how these things are going to go and who is going to like who.See Pizazz is a grouch! She only ever got along with my old cat and dog that passed last year. Too bad because she seems left out. She's cool about the puppy, but he is still too crazy for her.
Now all 3 cats are watching the kitten.

So Much to do So Little Time
Anyways while drama unfolds, I'll continue.Around all the tools and art supplies are a few items waiting or in repair for the mall space. Because of my art, crafts, and hardware background I can fix nearly anything. Mother had me doing arts and crafts and my father ran a hardware store. I kept a 67 Chevy running for 15 years, fixed the plumbing under the house and I fix and restore items for people, plus do some art work. My favorite is models and sculpture.
Jim Hasn't Noticed the Kitten Yet
Kitten drama continued.Jim just looked in and was talking about another Paypal claim on an eBay item that he just sent out yesterday. He didn't even notice the tiny black kitten next to me here on the floor. Cats are still looking at him.
Jim has been selling on eBay since they began around 14 years ago or so. He's very good at it. Even thru all of their insanity he still does well. Finding good stuff is second nature to him because he loves what he does. He's considered one of the top experts around the area.
Jim is also quite funny, so he was hired as one of the mascots for a local farm team. The kids love him.
Some of the things you see in the house is alien and space items. Also and egg chair from the 60's and spacey art work. We both love Sci-fi.
He also keeps his older Jaguar so shiny that when the puppy sees his reflection, he thinks there's a friend to play with.
Together we are both "car poor" as odd and fancy cars are our weakness.

Where I Sell Stuff on the Interenet
That's when I found Bonanzle. I had checked out other sites, but Bonanzle is by far the friendliest and easy to use.
Bonanzle started in Oct. of 08 and flew up the auction site charts.
They even had a get together near here in Bellevue, WA.

Stuff Around the House
Some other things around the house would be a collection of bucks and a few dinosaurs.If you have read many of my lenses, you probably notice that my spelling is awful. Well I could sure spell those big dino name when I was in second grade. After that I nearly flunked because of English, but then in high school I skated through it on art brownie points. Plus according to some personality tests, spelling is just not something I hold as a priority, but I never had to do so much writing before, so I am working on it.
Well I need to go out and water the garden. YA, I love the garden. Hoping to build a pond too.
Right now I have 8 foot tall sunflowers and I'll be taking some rhubarb into the fair today.
I have to chase the the big cats out of the room.

If it's that hot in a couple weeks when I help the shelter out with the dog wash, it will be a welcome time to be wet.
The shelter here on the island has a dog wash every year. About 20 people around kiddie tubs washing dogs. That is a pile of fun.

I love the internet. I have an email address that I started back in 87. Ya, they had email back then. I was so excited when ever I was able to add a friend or reletive to my list. I never thought I would see it die.
Now we have Twitter and FaceBook. I love Twitter and I will check that before anything else, @motorpurrr. I even have one for Pearl, @tinypearlcat. The pet avatar group on there is more fun than my regular account.
Oh duh! The Title says "Motorpurrr explained" Where did that name come from? I get that a lot. Motor was a cat I once had, that could purr super loud. One day I had to think up an account name for eBay and mixed my love of cats and cars and came up with Motorpurrr. It's so unusual that I just use it all over for branding. It's a good way to find me and what I do by searching it in Google.
Sometimes the world seems small especially when you find friends or avatars of the same people in many places on the internet. In my quest to make money from home, I have started on Squidoo, facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Bonanzle and other places. Also read and listened to many gurus and experts, seen great people on Youtube(love Youtube) and so on, then found them and even talked to them thru the internet. When that happens it's like meeting superstars.
I would love to meet everyone from the internet in person.

Bernie's Place
Plus kitten drama
We Just got called out to lunch in La Conner with our friend Bernie. I can't leave the little guy locked in this hot room and can't leave him loose yet. So he gets a crash course in being stared at by the others. I'm going to put him in Cosmo's carrier and leave him out near the conditioner. Let's hope the power holds up too. The heat has everyone using it up.
Cosmo got a quick look at the kitten, but more for him later.
Once a year I work for Bernie in his antique shop for a month as he goes to the coast to stay in the cabin and go fishing. Before he comes back we go over and visit him there. Last year I saw my first whale in the wild.

In it you will find so much stuff it will take you hours and many visits to see it all.
Lots of "what is it thats", great stuff for movie or TV props, stuff people like to collect and gifts. Tons of old books to read, 70's playboy magazines, life, field n stream, pin-up pictures of girls, pile of other photos, tools, fighing stuff, oil lamps, Jewelry, and tons more.
Bernie is great to talk to. Full of knowledge and experiences. He also buys stuff if he like it. You know he's in when the Camino is parked outside.
Favorite Things to Watch
The Kitten Finds Jim and the Puppy
It took over 24 hours for Jim to notice the kitten. Well it's tiny and black.Jim came in the room to pay some attention to Pizazz on the floor. Just then the kitten went over to him. He was pleasantly surprised!
Those cute little eyes, tiny purr, and bend back tail melted his heart. Jim said he was a pleasant surprise.
Today(next morning) it was time to bring the kitten out of the room to meet the puppy. A little hissing, but only for a little bit. Cosmo wagged his tail the whole time and slowly got closer, finally licking the kitten.
Cosmo gets a bit excited, after he cleaned the kitten well, he was jumping all over, so the kitten whacked at him.
Both of them got tired, kitten on the couch arm and Cosmo below. After a little while the kitten moved down and slept next to the puppy.
When Jim got home I told him about the kitten's day. Jim said he could tell instantly that it was a good cat.
Camano Island Weather
The Kitten's name is -
It took us 5 days to choose a name for the little guy. I just like it to have meaning, and something that's worth growing into.We went thru a bunch, I wanted something from Stargate, and Jim likes something spacey. There was mythology choices and black kitty choices. Ninja floated around for a while.
Finally Jim just called him Ion. Definition of ion = An atom or a group of atoms that has acquired a net electric charge by gaining or losing one or more electrons.
Which is perfect since he has extra toes and he has the frizzes.
In the baby book ion mean = God is good. Which also fits. because he is a blessing for the puppy and our grouchy cat. Ion and the puppy play for hours, clean each other and sleep together. An Pizazz has been more relaxed and seems to like him.
Plus to my delight the name is used on Stargate = Ion cannons were powerful Tollan weapons used for planetary defense against an incoming orbital attack.

Oh! My Other Pets
And a little history
One thing I'm good at is matching up cats to people and their situation just from doing it all my life We had a cat when I was little that was a Great Grandmother x 5.Later after I moved out Mom still continued to keep too many cats till we had a Spay and Neuter summer. So I was always working on finding cats homes. They all work out great and I still check in on some of them.
After getting out of art school, I went to work at a veterinary hospital as kennel help and bather. I was there over 5 years.
One day the animals control guy brought in a baby snake that had come in some plants for Fred Meyer. He said people there at the store were up on tables scared.
It was then that I realized that I could have snakes for pets and Mom couldn't do anything about it. LOL
Then I worked at a pet store for 11 years. Pets fun - retail not fun! Wasted!
Anyways, at the moment I also have 5 cornsnakes, 1 zebra tarantula and a couple mice for Pizazz to watch. Sam pictured above is 20 years old.
