What Exactly is The Law of Attraction?

For about the last two years, you have probably seen the phrase "The Law of Attraction" pop up everywhere you go, especially online, but you might still be a little unsure as to what it actually is.
Different people have different definitions of the law of attraction, so it can get a bit confusing to figure out what is at the core of it. The law of attraction is a term that refers to a law of nature that works on vibration. According to people who believe in the law of attraction (and a lot of scientist), everything in the world is, if you go down to a small enough level is just vibrating energy.
The law of attraction means that "like attracts like", so that energy vibrating on a certain frequency attracts to itself more energy on that frequency. Think of the way like atoms attract to form molecules that again attract other like molecules.
Taking this concept out of the world of physics and into out everyday worlds, we can start talking about the law of attraction in everyday life and how it affects us. The law of attraction believes that your thoughts are energy too, just like everything else in the world, and that through your thoughts and feelings, you attract to you everything you have in life, from people to things and experiences.
In short, through the thought that you keep in your mind, and what you are feeling you are manifesting things in your life. If you are feeling happy, you attract more of feeling happy, if you are angry with someone, you attract more to feel angry about. You can us the law of attraction to manifest anything you want in life, all you need to do is hold it strongly in your mind and feel good because you know it is already yours.

This may seem complicated but it really isn't. It may take some practice to visualize yourself having more than you need if you can barely pay your bills, but it is absolutely possible. It is common for people to argue that they have visualized themselves being rich or winning the lottery for years, and that it has never worked. The key here is that most people when they visualize something they dream of, they do it from the perspective of desperately wanting it.
The trick is that you have to approach it as if you already have it. Remember that like attracts like, and you attract to you what you hold in your mind. If you hold gratitude over your wealthy lifestyle in your mind, that that is what you are attracting; more of the wealthy lifestyle to feel grateful for. But if you are desperately wanting the wealthy lifestyle, you are attracting more of desperately wanting it. Do you see the difference?
We are all using the law of attraction all the time, whether we know it or not. It's not your fault that you have attracted bad things into your life, but you did attract it even so. Most people who first hear about the law of attraction go though a phase where they are very uncomfortable with the idea that they are responsible for everything that has happened in their life, good and bad (especially the bad), before they realize that this doesn't mean that there is any blame on them, only that they have the control to create the life they want in the future. The law of attraction is an incredibly powerful law of nature that puts all the control over your life back in your hands. It's up to you what you do about it.
