What To Do On Roatan

Roatan has such a varied list of activites.

If your idea of of enjoying the outdoors is laying in a hammock and reaching over for a cool beverage, well the laid back island pace will appeal to you.

If you prefer being as up close and personal with nature as possible then you too, won't be disappointed.

Here's just a small list

-hiking / backpacking
there are great tropicle trails to explore and enjoy

-rent a moped or bike to view the island

-horseback riding

-enjoy one of the areas many national parks and reserves, such as the Pico Bonito National Park or take one of the available eco-tours

-snorkeling / scuba diving
Roatan sits on and  is  encircled by the Carribeans largest living coral reef and the water allows for views of anywhere from 80-100 feet in any direction. This offers fantastic views of marine life.

-camera time
 bring your photo gear, including underwater, you're bound to get some great pictures for several photo-essays or round-up articles if you're a photographer or writer.

-or take a walk and checkout the miles of beaches, couple that with a sunset or sunrise and you'll see what draws many to the island.
