Your body is equivalent to machinery and machines need some type of fuel to run on. The body's fuel source are the calories we take in from eating food. The metabolism can be considered the "engine" of the human body; it is what runs the calories we take in by eating.

Some people seem to think that there are different kinds of calories such as fat, sugar, or carbohydrate. This just is not so and if it were it wouldn't matter. A calorie is simply a unit of measure and it isn't any easier or more difficult to burn "fat" calories than "carb" calories.

There are certain foods you can eat that will raise your metabolism naturally so these foods are referred to as fat burning foods. These are very important because how you utilize them is directly related to the fat burning hormones released and controlled by your brain every time you eat something.

Whenever you eat, the brain releases one of two kinds of hormones, one that burns fat and the other one stores fat. Whatever mission they are sent to do they are your "FAT BURNING HORMONES" and which way they go can be directed by the food you eat.
