What Causes Warts?
Almost 1 out of every 10 people get them, but did you ever wonder what causes warts?
You might be surprised at the answer, and, unlike what your mother may have told you, warts in humans have nothing to do with toads.
Believe it or not, warts are actually caused by a virus .... yes, it's true you can catch warts - not from toads but from other people!
This virus, called the human papilloma virus gets into your skin through cuts, cracks or fissures and affects the layers of the epidermis. It causes the skin cells to replicate more rapidly than they normally would and the result is that too many skin cells are trying to fit in the same space.
This causes the cells to bump out and form a benign tumor that we know as a wart.

Now that you know what causes warts, you can try to avoid getting them by making sure that you don't share personal care items with others, especially if those other people have warts.
This means you don't want to share razors, towels, makeup applicators, facecloths ...... basically anything that touches your skin should be used by only you.
Another way that people commonly get warts on their feet (called plantar warts) is by walking barefoot in public areas. The virus that causes warts loves warm moist places like the floors in public pools, showers and gym locker rooms. If someone has plantar warts and walks on the floor, the virus can be deposited there. Then when you come along and step in the same spot, you can pick up the virus and the next thing you know, you have a bunch of painful plantar warts!

Geting Rid Of Warts
Getting rid of warts can be as simple as applying an over the counter medicine or as complicated as having cryosurgery.
One thing to remember, though is that, since warts are causes by a virus, you need to eradicate the virus in order to get rid of warts for good. Sometimes topical treatments will "seem" to work, but after a month or two you will find that your warts come back. That's because the virus is still lurking underneath.
You need to get rid of all the skin cells that harbor the virus. Now this can be done by surgery - if all the cells with the virus are removed then your warts will be gone for good. The only problem with that is that there is no way to tell if all the cells with the virus are gone and .... well ... surgery hurts!
So what can you do if you don't want surgery but still want to get rid of warts?
Luckily there is a natural method of removing warts that is painless and works to get rid of your warts - sometimes in as little as 3 days! It works on helping your system get rid of the virus and is worth checking out if you have tried - Click Here to find out more.
