What Metal Detector Is the Best?

From my experience and surely if you are just starting out in this wonderful and at times profitable hobby! :-)

You will want to get a metal detector that gives you more bang for your buck!! Thats why I chose the Bounty Hunter Tracker 4, it's not as pricy as the Whites high-end Detectors "which also has a huge learning curve you have to go through!"

And on top of that there have been many times I have used the whites model in areas such as beaches & parks... Only to go back over them with my bounty hunter and find stuff I missed with the whites more expensive model! " Go figure that!!" Now, i'm not knocking any of the Whites detectors or AV Series or even Garret for that matter... They are all good detectors. But, quite honestly for my money the Bounty Hunter Tracker 4 is a way better detector for my money, especially for a beginner and it's user friendly controls will have you finding all kinds of stuff in no time!

I bought my Grandson one for Christmas on Ebay during an auction. He would go out with me almost every week-end and comb through the beaches and wooded areas of where we live and help me dig for treasure, and always be amazed at some of the stuff we found! So, I thought buying this would be a perfect gift for him.Now, that he has one of his own... I have to dig for all my stuff on my own LOL :-).

But, thats quite OK... He has definately earned one of his very own! Just last week-end he ended up finding a Gold Bracelet in the sand! He was so "excited!" he gave it to his mom as a anytime gift she was quite surprised.Needles to say, I have a partner for life now... So, if any of you are looking to get into this hobby... And this may be your first time Metal Detecting!

What I would suggest is that you do some research on the type of metal detector you want and way the pros and cons of each one and you will do fine! But, my money is on the Bounty Hunter Tracker 4.

Your only task now is to decide on where to go looking for that buried treasure. Making the right choice when starting any hobby is important. This applies to purchasing a metal detector so look here for the right one Quality Metal Detector! What is the best metal detector? Well, you know what I like!! Beginner Metal Detector- Advice & Tips

First off, I would like to welcome all of you! :-) To this very enjoyable and quite often profitable Hobby.Obviously, If you have just landed on my Lens... You have either bought or are planning on buying a Metal detector and are looking for some helpful information on how to use your metal detector and maybe, where to go Metal Detecting.

Let's say right off the top

One of the first things if you haven't already done it... Is get yourself hooked up with a Metal Detecting club in or around your area! Although this is not neccessary, "you can do quite well on your own" it's kind of nice to hang out with some of these fellows. You can decrease your learning curve by 80% "I'm guessing"

Anyway, that's one way... Another, way that I found to increase my Metal Detecting skills is by reading books..." I know boringZZZZZZZZZZZ!!" But, hey If Metal Detecting is something you really are starting to gain a passion for, "trust me...Reading will not be that much of a burden on you!"

There are a ton of great books out there... For metal detecting fans.

Getting Use to Your Metal Detector

Probably, one of the most important things you need todo is get very familiar with your Metal Detector. I know this can be tough, but before you even power-up the thing. " Read your Manual!" inside and out!

Once, all your reading is done " It's usually not very long, depends on the model" You will be all set to go! :-)

Now, I'm going to tell you right now... That when you first start out on your hunt! Just dig everything the signal goes off on... Now, my reasoning for this is quite simple... Your New!! "nothing bad about that".

All you are doing at this point in the game is getting use to your detector. And by simply digging all of you signals, you will most rapidly begin to understand how your Metal Detector will react to different metals in different settings.

Well, thats a good starting point as any! So, right now do yourself a favor and just get out there and do it!! :-) You will have so much fun!!
