So, What Is The Idiot Proof Diet?

You may have heard of the "Idiot Proof Diet" and wondered what it was all about. What makes this diet different than all the other diet plans out there and better yet - what makes it idiot proof? There seems to be a lot talk out there and lots of questions.

Is the Idiot Proof Diet Low Fat or Low Carb? 

The Idiot Proof Diet works on the principle of reduced carbohydrates, fat and calories but with a huge twist. While other diets focus on one or the other of these three exclusively, the creators of the Idiot Proof Diet takes advantage of the role your metabolism plays in weight loss.

When we go on a diet, whether it is a low fat, low carb or a low calorie diet, we will probably begin to lose weight. However, after a short period of time we plateau.



The reason for this is your metabolism adjusts to the amount and type of food you're eating in order to maintain your body as it is. You see you may want to lose weight, but your body thinks times are hard, and food is scarce and begins to conserve energy.

The Idiot Proof Diet uses a method called 'calorie shifting' to keep your metabolism from slowing. So you have a healthy diet that's reduced fat, reduced carb and a reduced calorie, all in one - and maintains your metabolism. It's the best of all worlds.

Ok, so what is "calorie shifting"? 

With calorie shifting, rather than taking in fewer calories, you shift them from meal to meal. My downfall is after I diet. I seem to lose weight pretty well. When I try to go back to "normal" I have a hard time figuring out what is the best food items to eat and still lose weight or maintain.
Right now I am on the smart for life diet and I am doing a journey on my lens.
