How Can We COW Together?

When it comes to changing the world it takes alot of people with great ideas, great resources, great compassion and great follow through. It takes more than just dreaming it takes action. Even a little bit of action goes a long way.

COW stands for Change Our World because this is OUR world. It belongs to all of us. This is not My world or it would be: CMW, it is not your world or it would be CYW, it is not even THE world or it would be CTW. None of that works right or fast enough. We need things that work right and work fast enough to offer a solution to the challenges that our world faces.

COW is about OUR world, Our unified effort to make this an amazing place. Like a cow, you can enjoy it's resources (milk cheese, cheesecake!) without killing the supplier. We can enjoy the resources of OUR world without killing it.

COW is about US. If someone in the world is lonely or starving it's OUR challenge to make our world better for each other.

COW=Change Our World.

I take my COW hat off to those who are already doing it. I just wanted to be a part, I thought about it for a long time and now I'm doing it. I encourage you to do it too!

Let's COW=Change our World together.

There are many ways to COW (Change Our World) to make life better for those living near and far. I have started a top 10 list on great ways to COW but...my goal is to have a top 50. I'll give my ideas and you can add your own.

Let's all COW together. COW to stop sickness, poverty, lonliness and more. If you are already COWing please write and let the rest of us know what you are doing. Who knows maybe you can find some new COWers for your important cause!

1. Look around and see what's needed right where you are.

2. Use what you have to make a difference. Do you know a family that could us a little help buying groceries once in a while.

3. Send your gently used clothing to Dress for Success.com. This organization provides professional attire to women starting over after a difficult time.

4. Buy gas for a struggling friend. Seems small but with the cost of gas, I'm sure someone in need would appreciate it.

5. Build a really cool squidoo lense and have money donated to charity!

6. Volunteer to host a storytime at a local shelter.

7. Check out TheHungerSite.com--see what you can do.

8. Visit Globalgiving.com and help provide job training for poor women in Brazil.

9. Host a wine tasting, sell tickets and buy a cow for Kenya.

10. Design an amazing squidoo lense! (Oh year I said it already but it's worth repeating.

In order for the change to really happen we have to live lives of compassion. It's not just attending an event that will help someone else do the COWing. It's living a lifestyle that will COW.

I stopped by the Hunger Site to find out about what they are up to. I found that if you go to the Hungersite everyday and click on the yellow button, the organization gets money to help fund their programs. Now how easy is that. One click a day? For free!
