Maybe I Should Rephrase That
Instead of What Won't Oprah Eat, I suppose I should say what types of food will Oprah be giving up on her newest diet.
What won't she eat kind of makes her sound like she'd eat just about anything, when she's actually only going on a three week vegan diet. She's also swearing off caffeine, sugar, gluten and alcohol.
What do you think about all of this? Do you think she will succeed? Do you care? Have you ever gone vegan before?
Personally I don't give a rip about Oprah's diets, or what she will and will not eat but from what I could gather, I do think the book she's following has excellent and healthy ideas.

Oprah Winfrey
With summer just around the corner, Oprah Winfrey is saying bye, bye to burgers - hello tofu and tempeh!
The talk show host, 54, is going vegan for a 21-day detox plan. In addition to swearing off animal products, Winfrey and three pals from her production company are also banning caffeine, sugar, gluten and alcohol.

Going vegan is a lot easier when you have cooks and people to bring you food. Of course, she will also have so much temptation.

I believe she can be successful, but going vegan is not easy if you have been a meat eater.

No because...
Margo_Arrowsmith says:
No, I have done vegetarian. and still will do it for days, sometimes by accident, but not vegan

I have trouble enough being a vegetarian. Going totally vegan - no cheese, milk, eggs and no products that contain those ingredients - isn't something I think I can do.

Margo_Arrowsmith says:
Well, she is a celebrity, but I don't think she does publicity 'stunts' although she gets and demands a lot of publicity. I think she is sincere about what she does and letting people learn from it.
Posted November 09, 2008
This is just another publicity stunt.
Kanga says:
If you're Oprah, you announce pretty much everything to the world! That's just how her life works. Good luck to her, but I'm not sure these short term diet changes are ever really as beneficial as people hope they will be...

A friend of mine started a life change group (because of Oprah) and at the end took the group to Chicago for the show. They didn't have good seats, but my friend got her attention at the end of the show. She talked to them. She wanted to hear what they had to say and they got to go behind scenes. She said, "I would like a picture of you for my dressing room" My friend was impressed that she didn't ask if they wanted a picture of her. She had her photographer take the picture and sent them. They know that they are in her dressing room.
I think she is genuine. She is a rare person.

It makes sense that Oprah would share this with the world: dieting is one of the subjects she's been very open about in her work. It's one of her topics.
