Conquest wheelchair motorcycles provide new level of freedom and indepence for wheelchair users
The Conquest is a BMW trike conversion with remote controlled ramp in the back that provides for a wheelchair driver to roll into the driver position. Outfitted with sophisticated hand controls and a wheelchair locking system, the motorcycle is driven entirely by hand from a wheelchair. No transfer is required. Sold throughout England and Europe for several years, the Conquest is coming to America in January of 2010! Demos and test-drives are now being scheduled. Go to http://www.mobilityconquest.com/index.html for more information. MobilityWorks, the leading provider of wheelchair vans in the United States will be the first official Conquest dealer signed up with at least a dozen more to be signed up soon. Conquest Wheelchair Motorcycle Being Driven by a Paraplegic
This handicap motorcycle is wheelchair accessible. The disabled driver can stay in their wheelchair while driving with the use of hand controls. There is a remote controlled ramp located in the back of the trike. The wheelchair locks into place with the use of an automated docking system called an EZ-Lock. This particular bike is a BMW R 1200 RT. Very cool. Sold mostly in England for the past few years, MobilityWorks in the USA is setting up demo schedules in areas around the country starting in January 2010.
