Why Use Wheelchair Gloves?
Wheelchair users hands can take a beating. The daily impact of the hands against the wheelchair push rims can cause injury. That is why wheelchair users are at extremely high risk for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Wheelchair users must extend their palms, thereby exposing a sensitive nerve that runs through the hands. The repetitive impact of this nerve against the wheelchair hand-grip causes nearly 50% of wheelchair users to suffer to some extent from this painful and progressive nerve damage.
Wheelchair users can protect their hands with specially designed wheelchair gloves.
Flexi-Fit Wheelchair Gloves
Wheelchair Gloves for wheelchair users with limited hand mobility
Flexi-Fit wheelchair gloves are soft neoprene wheelchair gloves with a piece of textured leather on the palm for grip. These gloves are designed for users with limited hand mobility. The advantage of Flexi-Fit Wheelchair Gloves are:
1. They open wide, so that almost any user can put the wheelchair gloves on with no assistance.
2. They are very soft and flexible. They bend easily and the back of the hand over the knuckles is open so that they do not further limit hand mobility the way that a leather wheelchair glove will.
As they are made of soft neoprene, they are not intended for very active wheelchair use like Gel-Palm or Ultra-Grrrip. If you are looking for a glove that will stand up to more active wheelchair use, consider Gel-Palm wheelchair gloves or Ultra-Grrrip wheelchair gloves. However, people with limited hand mobility who would like protective, light and flexible wheelchair gloves will find Flexi-Fit wheelchair gloves to be ideal.
Ultra-Grrrip 4 Seasons Wheelchair Glove
Wheelchair Gloves for active use in cooler weather
Ultra-Grrrip 4 seasons wheelchair gloves are basically the same wheelchair gloves as our regular Ultra-Grrip Wheelchair Glove except it is a full-flinger glove. This wheelchair glove is intended for active use in cooler weather and for people who prefer full-finger wheelchair gloves. What is your opinion of wheelchair gloves?
If you have used wheelchair gloves let us hear from you!
Many people can not be bothered to wear wheelchair gloves. But many people do not know about the risk of carpal tunnel syndrome for wheelchair users. What do you think?

How about some bigger than an XL for men? My husband has large hands and an XL barely goes on his hands, let alone make it so he can use his hands
