* Does your wheelchair have any adjustable straps on the back? They can become loose over time, so check them regularly and adjust as necessary.* The seat upholstery may sag over time, which an affect your posture, and eventually bend the seat cushion. Many types of sling seat upholstery can be fixed by removing one side from the frame, pulling the material tight, and then replacing the sling seat.
* Many wheelchairs have problems with caster axles. Thinks like hair and thread can get caught, which impedes the movement of the chair. Repair them by removing the caster using two wrenches: one holds the axle bolt in place and the other is used to unscrew the nut. (Be sure to keep track of the 2 small spacers located on either side of the wheel!) Then, simply use a damp cloth or paper towel to clean the caster, and replace them again.
* Be sure to clean your chair on a regular basis, using a microfiber cloth to clean away dust and dirt particles. It WILL make a difference in how your wheelchair operates.
* It is important to note that while many repairs are simple and straightforward, do not attempt to replace electric wheelchair parts on your own.

- I would take it in to a local DME (durable medical equipment) provider so that they can take a closer look. Its too difficult to diagnose properly without seeing the powerchair in person. If you call Pride they can direct you their local certified repair people.
