Don't worry if you can't buy the Kindle right now. Even though there are a few advantages to it, I'd focus on what's unique about traditional books, too. The mere touch and smell of an used book. The fact that you can make it your own and come back to it from time to time as if you were visiting an old friend.
Also, sometimes it's good if things do not come quite that easy.
