Whey Protein Nutrititon

Whey Protein is a protein made from milk. Whey protein is extracted from milk when making cheese. Milk itself has quite a bit of protein, but it has sugar in the form of lactose and fat as well. Whey protein has none of the fat or sugars of milk. Therefore, whey protein is the best protein supplement one can take.

Whey protein is used in the Whey Protein Diet. The Whey Protein Diet subsitutes Whey Protein shakes for meals.

The Whey Protein Diet

The Whey Protein Diet is a new diet where you replace or supplement your meals with a whey protein drink. The drink is Whey Powder mixed with soy milk. The shake should contain 20 grams of protein (from both whey and soy). You can mix it with items like fruit for flavoring, but you must keep the sugars below 10 grams. The secret is you get a large amount protein with fewer calories than a full meal.

The benefit of the Whey Protein diet is when you consume 20 grams of protein in a single meal, you will feel full. Your body will not signal your brain that you are hungry. You will have consumed fewer calories, but eaten more protein.
