Research from the UK have found a way to use some of the protein parts to find out if chicken or egg came first. Protein is use to form a chicken before it is hatched from an egg, they found out that the chicken came before the protein was form in the body. If you are to ask a creationists whether the chicken or the egg came first, they would say chickens.Creationists said that god bring life to earth first and then ask them to mutiply. So if god bring life was created first by god then the chicken will exist first, then the god ask them to mutiply, this is when the egg is started to hatched by the chicken.

The difference is actually 1600 genetic differences., if we had evolved from apes why are they not on here answering questions ?? It's like an airline pilot saying we are only 2% out on our flight plan so we'll put down here.

In Genesis 1:24 it says: And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
That was from the King James Version of the bible. Even though it doesn't say that God specifically made the adult animals, it does make more logical sense, since the verse is talking about every living thing.
Even though mammals and other offspring grow in the womb, they are not considered 'living beings' until they are born. Eggs cannot cluck until they are hatched.

I really enjoyed this lens as well as, all the comments on it. It was cleverly done and, brought a lot of information to those who read it. I believe the chicken came first. Perhaps the rooster, like Adam the man. Then after Eve was created and the whole idea of population came about, he might have created the hen thus, the egg appeared.

I once saw a documentary (can't remember the name) which settled the this for me. The theory in this documentary was that there must once have been an ancestor creature to the chicken.
This creature was 99.99999(to infinity)% chicken, but it was not 100% chicken. This almost-chicken then went on to lay an egg. A tiny mutation happened to the DNA of the unhatched chick, turning it into the very first 100% chicken.
Therefor, the egg came first, and the first chicken was hatched from it.

What happened, was that a precursor to the chicken, a bird which was extremely similar but not exactly the same, eventually laid an egg which, due to gene mutation, would hatch into a chicken. This egg was a chicken egg, because the animal which came out of it was a chicken, even though it was laid by a bird which was somthing increadibly similar but NOT a chicken.
Thus, the egg came first.

- I've heard a theory stating that a chicken came about during mutation as an egg. That makes more sense. Also, it's foolish to even frame this as a creationist/evolution debate.

- One definition of science, is "the observation, identification, description, experimental investigation, and theoretical explanation of phenomena". True scientific theory has to be able to be duplicated, before it can be accepted as "scientific fact". It has to be observable. We can observe male and female chickens reproducing. We cannot observe an egg reproducing. Congratulations on your LotD - well-done, and a lot of fun!

- In science you can never 'prove' anything with 100% certainty. What is fact for one person is not fact for another and facts change. Theories on the other hand are supported by hundreds of observations and hypothesis that have been tested thousands of times and always supported. There has never been any scientific evidence that does not support the theory of evolution. Creationism is not a science nor is it a theory, its a belief system. To be science, you must be able to test/support/reject a hypothesis. I appreciate this page and the debate you bring to the table! Very well done.

Your first sentence can be proven wrong.--uh, gravity, laws of thermodynamics, speed of sound, speed of light...etc. Your second and third sentence's are just as backwards--something is actually called a fact because it is proven and a theory because it changes all the time; hence the theory of evolution keeps changing. And actually the theory of evolution is a belief system too, it has never been proven; to believe in it you have to have faith. There are scientific facts and there are guesses. No offense, but i hope you don't actually teach this.
