I developed the moniker "Creative Vagabond" from the from the common labeling from friends, family and coworkers as "The Idea Girl." I have the fortitude and talent to approach anything and everything with a creative attitude. I strive to find the most imaginative solution to any situation. I don't just think outside the box, I try to live outside the box. "The Legend of Maggie LaRue" is a pre-written storyline divided into twenty-four (24) episodes. Each installment will provide a fifteen (15) day video contest, two (2) contests a month over the next year with the exception of December 2008*. Each contest has a $15 entry fee from which the proceeds will be donated to the amfAR (The Foundation for AIDS Research) and Equality Now charities, with the exception of December 2008*.

Let's make a club. Let's gather together for the sole purpose of sharing an experience that involves all of the senses. I'm not the first to come up with the idea of a "Movie Club", nor with the idea of a "Themed Dinner Party". I'm not even the first to decide to combine the two. That's fine. I'm not here for the credit of being a party planning pioneer. All I want to do is just share my spin on the occasion and my ideas for movies to watch, food to serve, and the overall theatrical staging of your night.

Rates: Single Poem - $10, Wedding Vows - $25

How it works: You send me a detailed message. I send you an email with a Paypal link for the initial service charge of $10 for a single poem or $25 for wedding vows. Once I receive payment, I create a poem based on your specifications, then send it to you within an email text within 24 hours. You look it over and either approve it's current draft or asked for a revision. You're allowed only one revision per poem. If more are requested, then there is a $2 service charge for each additional revision. Once a draft is approved, I will format the poem into a design layout and send the .pdf file to you as an email attachment within 24 hours from the time I receive your approval.

For as long as I can remember I have had this habit when I first wake, I take about ten minutes to just let my mind wander any and all terrains of my imagination. I was searching for inspiration but also escape from the doubt and worry that slowly creeps into my mind and colors my decisions. This blog is a reflection of those ten minutes - those Conversations with Myself.

My favorite distractions are words. A real love affair with collections and gatherings of letters and characters on a page, in a conversation, and in the air. Every word has a spice and luster. I love their cadence and rhythm and staccato. I love how they flow and roll off the tongue, dripping with emotion and sensuality. They shape your lips and contort your face. A word can be soft and dreamy, floating in a whisper or hard and harsh and grating, like a pounding roar. They fill a moment and define it, then linger in the remaining silence after the moment is gone. Heavy and light, they evoke and inspire. Deliberate and poignant or careless and accidental, they are the phantom thoughts and expressions that reside in a mind wanting to be heard or the brick wall created behind which to hide.

I find myself catching a word from the midst of a conversation and letting it play in my imagination. Stuck in my mind until a thought is grown into a theory then cultivated into a poem. It's a fascination, a fetish, and an allure to which I am powerless. They give me power and strength and pleasure.
