Angels-Our Guardians, Our Protectors

I was given an angel poster during a rough time in my life. This is part of what the post says:

Angels are the guardians of hope and wonder, the keepers of magic and dreams.

Angels watch over you whenever you go, keeping each day perfect and promising a bright new tomorrow. The motto of all angels' is "It's a wonderful life".

Whenever there is love an angel is flying by Angels help you carry the ball, carry a tune, carry your weight and carry on!

Your guardian angel knows you inside and out and loves you just the way you.

Sometimes we see things in life that stay with us and it becomes strong confirmation in things we have felt to be the truth. I was watching a movie once and there was a line in the movie that said, "Angels have a language that is different to everyone who hears it. Only you can understand the language of an Angel who speaks to you. The language of an Angel who speaks to another will be different the language that was spoken to you." So, of course after hearing this, I had to research it, and found many interesting things concerning the language of Angels. Not only is it listed in the Bible several times, but the amount of people who explains there version is amazing.

Of course one of the first things you would want to know is: "How does Angels Communicate?" Some people have found in their research that because angels do not have lips or lungs or tongues, they communicate through a kind of telepathy. Words are not always used to deliver messages and often they communicate in symbols. Each person has his or her own channel to the spirit world. It could be a number, a sound or a smell. I know that one of my Spirit Guides has a smell of a strong Pine. Every time I smell that, I become more aware of all of the different events happening around me. I can almost hear your thoughts, "So how do I know the difference if that is my Spirit Guide or my Guardian Angel?" I only started to smell the Pine about 20 years ago or so. Right around the time I made a stronger effort in my commitment on the healing techniques I have learned.

I know I have mentioned this throughout so many of my Lens, but often the translation can get lost when our Angels do communicate with us. It is no different then human to human translation. There could be times when you sense a distortion in the message. That is when trust and belief steps into the picture and you must follow that. If you get a message that danger is close at hand, you would not take a walk down a heavily traffic area would you?

This is a true story:

One morning while my husband and I were going to work, I had this edgy feeling but could not really explain it. We had to go to work so I paid closer attention to my driving. There was a car in front of us and we were stopped at a red light. When the light changed, of course traffic started to move. The car in front of us went through the light and I was driving at a normal speed behind them and all of a sudden I "FELT" someone push my leg down on the breaks! Right at that moment, a pickup truck ran the light in the other direction and if it was not for my "Guardian Angel" pushing my leg down on the breaks, my husband and I could have gotten hurt really bad or even worst. I was put into an odd state of shock or something. I will never forget how that felt on my leg.

A recent poll published in Time magazine revealed that 69 percent of Americans believe in angels, and 46 percent of that group believe they have a personal guardian angel. There is no scientific evidence for angels, of course. The only "evidence" we have for their existence is the long religious tradition, stories from the Bible and the many stories from people who believe these spiritual beings.

How many times have you asked this question: "If we have a Guardian Angel, why is it we have so many traumas and hurts in our life?" Wouldn't most of us love to have a life that is like a velvet soft rose petal lined life? My opinion only, I believe that even our Angels must stand back and allow us to work things out on our own. Is this called "Free Will?" It is said that our Guardian Angels stand by us even in times of sin. They direct the soul to salvation but only if the soul is inclined to be led. They will not influence our wills' but they will project images and intellect to discourage us from doing evil acts. I can understand this to a point, because I know I have placed myself in some odd situations, although a part of me was fully aware of the consequences, the other part of me went on forward. From most of these experiences, I have learned valuable lessons! If truth be told, I will believe this forever, even though I have made some bad choices in my life, I still know that my Guardian Angel was there protecting me because some of the situations could have been life threatened.

They say if you want to talk to your Guardian Angel, you must ask a direct question out loud. The question needs to be clear and straight forward. Angels are always willing to help us. Doreen Virtue has several wonderful books related to working with angels. You must be willing to accept the assistance from your Angel especially since you have free will. According or Doreen, you can write a letter to your guardian angel, visualize, speak out loud or talk to them mentally. Your answer can come in many forms, a slight breeze, or many of the other ways explained earlier about communicating with Angels.
