WhiteOak Art Designs eCrater Business

Just like millions of other people who are trying to utilize the web to promote their on-line business; I wanted to add a few things that have helped me along my way.

I have been on this journey since September 2007. One of the hardest things to do is offer products at reasonable price because shipping is horrible! So the only way to draw attention to your sites is to link it every where you can think of plus more. After a while when your businesss has a good rank in the search engines, you can begin to be a little more picky where you link it.

I have always believed that the Universe is big enough for everyone to have abundance! So it does not matter if there are a million other people selling the same thing as you, it is just a matter of you being found.

I had to learn how to do everything on my own, how to design my web page, how to set up web store fronts, promoting my business, basically everything. I link everywhere I can, I have joined so many groups, that I have lost count. I have listened to other peoples suggestions and made many changes according to those suggestions. But then something very exciting-I found Squidoo and I found eCrater.

Finding Squidoo has enabled me to put my web page and product information out there in a very unique way. Squidoo has also taught me more about the importence of using tags, which I never thought that much about. I am not sure how long I have been a member here on Squidoo, but it has not been that long at all.

When I found eCrater it was the same thing, what a wonderful tool to build an online store front. The link is: WhiteOak eCrater Store.

At eCrater, I am able to list all of the herbs that I sell with photos, my customers can pay using Google or Paypal Checkout and it figures the shipping price and all you have to do is enter the weight.

As much as I love Squidoo, making 73 different individual Lens for my herbs would be a bit much. Did I forget to mention the Best Thing is eCrater is FREE! It has a Great appearance and the tools are easy to use. The only fee you have at eCrater is the fee from Paypal or Google.

How do you know when enough is enough when it comes to storefronts or linking to different search engines, groups, etc, etc? Well, I am not able to answer that question because I am still promoting my businesses.

I am going to list several places that are wonderful tools. If none of these things are new to you, I am sorry, perhaps you can make some more suggestions (smiles), for those of you that are new to this, please take advantage of everything you can to promote your business.

To make an infusion of tea:

Take one or two quarts of distilled or spring water, and depending how strong you like your tea, use 1-4 teaspoons of an herb mixture or a single herb. Bring your water to a boil and pour the water over the herbs. Cover the container and let it infuse for about 15-20 minutes.

Always research herbs that you are not familar with. If you have a question about using a herb with your medication, always speak to your doctor first.

WhiteOak's Soy Candles

I have been doing a lot of research lately on eco-friendly candles and wanted to make them. In the process, I decided to open up a new eCrater Storefront totally devoted to these candles. Since I am just opening up this shop, I do not have an abundance amount of different scents, but what I do have I really like. All of the candles come in a traveling 4 oz. tin and are all hand poured.

What is the difference between soy wax candles, palm wax and parrafin?

Soy wax comes from a vegetable wax made from the oil of soybeans. After harvesting, the beans are cleaned, cracked, de-hulled, and rolled into flakes. The oil is then extracted from the flakes and hydrogenated. The U.S. grows the vast majority of the world's soy beans, primarily in Illinois, Iowa, and Indiana. Soy wax is eco-friendly, slow burning and holds scent beautifully.

Palm Wax is grown on trees and picked rather that sown in a field and harvested, requiring much less energy and labor. And the palm kernel has one of the highest oil contents of any plant, so a lot of wax can be grown in a small amount of space. The company I purchase this wax from deals with a company that does not contribute to deforestation.
Important!

There are many things...

I love eCrater the way I do Squidoo. You can list many different things in a store because you can make your own catagories. So at WhiteOak Art Designs you will find a little of everything. I have a wide selection of loose herbs, essential oils, fairy products, candles (including my soy candles) jewelry, and so much more.

If you get a chance stop by and take a look around.

Amazon is a good place to get some information...

ALWAYS make sure to....

REMEMBER: to always store your herbs in containers with a tight fitting lid (I use mason jar)!

Do not place the herbs in direct sunlight

Be sure to label and date the jars to keep your stock fresh!

When affordable, try to use organic herbs, you will be able to tell a HUGE difference!
