Five other full-figured models tried before her but it was the Twenty-one year old student from Atlantic Beach, Florida who became the first full-figured model to win the coveted title of America's Next Top Model Cycle 10.
Whitney received favorable reviews on her looks and photo shoots on and off. She was often accused of being too beauty pageanty and was even once compared to Anna Nicole Smith (who's idea was it to turn her into a blonde anyway - oh yeah, Tyra's). Despite the negativity she managed to maintain her composure and apply what she learned about herself and the other models to the following week.
As a winner of ANTM, Whitney received a contract with Elite Model Management, a $100,000 contract with Cover Girl Cosmetics and a six page spread and cover in Seventeen magazine (July 2008 issue).
I look forward to seeing and hearing more of this beauty.

Although the primary focus is fashion and famous folk, this teen zine is not mere eye candy. Mixed among the cutting-edge styles (and multitudinous ads) you'll find short but plentiful articles. Topics range in import: fluff stuff like "What Will You Wear Back to School?" and "The Ultimate Ponytail Guide" is balanced by heavier fodder, such as "No One Believes I Was Raped" and pieces on having a gay sibling and the dangers of binge drinking.

Some of you leave some great comments but they never see the light of day because you choose to add the "F" or "S" word (or some other derogatory word). If you can't make your point without using it then no one is going to take you seriously anyway. Especially in this format.
I use swear words in the day to day all the time so no I'm not a prude but when it comes to this lens swear words can turn this lens into a "R" rated one which is something I don't want.

- I loved that Whitney won ANTM been watching the series for quite awhile and would never have guessed a big girl would make it to the top. Seems like most of them get broke down emotional somewhere in the middle. Loved this lens. :)

- I haven't watched this show in a long time, but I remember that in the seasons that I did watch the plus-sized model always felt out of place among all the skinny girls. A few episodes in this would start to show in the way they carried themselves, and they would be eliminated. Kudos to Whitney for having so much self-confidence. It's never easy to go against convention, even when you're as beautiful as she is.

- I can not understand why someone would call her a "plus girl" - she looks to me like a beautiful, healthy woman with a great body. The fashion industry is a strange (and often bad) thing. Woman need to look skinny with no body to be pretty?? That's not pretty. Never was and never will be.
