What's a Whovian? You may well ask...
Can sometimes also be identified with Star Wars geeks, Trekkies, etc...
'Whovian' is the name given to dedicated Doctor Who fans of all ages, nations, and planets. The Whovian phenomina, as it were, seems to consist of people who are already dedicated to numerous other sci-fi ventures, but who also are rather savvy when it comes to things in the 'real world'. For example, one Whovian of my acquaintence is very good at computer programing, while another is very good with DIY (safe!) scientific experiments!
The list is truly endless, and to categorise Whovians into one little box would be doing the tribe as a whole an injustice. Given that there has been ten Doctors over the years, each Whovian likely grew up with one or two Doctors in particular, and will always have a special spot in their heart for their 'first Doctor'.
Ten Faces of the Doctor
First Doctor: William Hartnell 1963-1966
Second Doctor: Patrick Troughton 1966-1969
Third Doctor: Jon Pertwee 1970-1974
Fourth Doctor: Tom Baker 1974-1981
Fifth Doctor: Peter Davison 1981-1984
Sixth Doctor: Colin Baker 1984-1986
Seventh Doctor: Sylvester McCoy 1987-1989
Eighth Doctor: Paul McGann 1996
Ninth Doctor: Christopher Eccleston 2005
Tenth Doctor: David Tennant 2005-present
Who was your 'first' Doctor?
When people discover the wonder of Doctor Who, no matter how many times he regenerates, there is always a special soft-spot in their hearts for their 'first' Doctor. WHO was yours?! :-P
"DID YOU KNOW: that the longest running - and arguabley the most famous - 'Doctor' was Tom Baker?!"
Being Whovian
At the end of the day, there is something to be said for living life in the Doctor's Style:
Take every opportunity to learn someting, meet someone, do something, make something new.
Be excited by the possibilities, the opportunities, the wonder that is life.
Do what you can to help the people around you, because otherwise apathy will catch you in the end.
Have morals and take a stand for what you believe in.
After all, life's too short, isn't it?

- I'm not exactly a massive Whovian, but I did recently decide to buy a stripey scarf because of Tom Baker's Doctor.
That's not weird is it?
Great lens!
