Germany is a land of castles, fairy tales, stories and adventures and when you know German you can experience these things first hand like a native German would. I went to a language school in Germany when I was 25 for a couple of months, but fell in love with Germany and ended up staying for an entire year. I recommend learning German in Germany if you can. This is the best way to learn German. If you don't have that kind of free time, the internet has made learning German much easier. World War II - German infantry in combat Wouldn't you like to read these works in the original German to get their full meanings? I've learned a lot of German in the last 20 years, so now I can enjoy many things in German like movies, German literature, German newspapers and magazines (I have a subscription to a German newspaper) and books about German history. I like history and now I can read about Germany's experience in World Wars I and II and understand these wars from the German standpoint.
