Knowing Exactly What The Benefits Are - Will Keep You Motivated

For some smokers it's not always obvious what the main benefits are to quit smoking, but looking for the biggest gains you can is not insane, in fact it's a really good idea.

Knowing exactly what's in store for you as you go through the process of quitting will help to keep you encouraged and motivated, plus it can be a great reminder about exactly why you set out to stop smoking in the first place - especially when the going gets tough.

Major Benefits of Quitting The Smoking Habit

Health

One of the biggest benefits has to be your health and the welfare of those around you. By quitting the cigarettes, you help to decrease the risk of lung cancer, heart disease, heart attack, a stroke and even high blood pressure to name just a few of the health problems that smokers can face and this reason alone has to be the major benefit of trashing the cigs for good.

Once you've stopped smoking, even after a day or two, you should start to see an improvement in your health and stamina very quickly, although this will vary from person to person, depending on underlying factors that are unique to each individual.

The outlook of better health almost immediately, is very encouraging and you'll more than likely see improvements to your breathing each day, as you workout to stay in great physical shape.

Can You Afford To Set Your Money On Fire?

Money

The price of a pack of cigarettes never goes down - so money could be another excellent reason to quit smoking.

With the average cost of up to around $1200 a year (depending on where you're located) for a single pack a day habit, you are looking at a lot of money going up in smoke each day.

Keeping the money in your pocket can do a lot for your budget. It could even mean the difference between being able to buy that holiday you and the family have wanted or it could simply mean that your budget will stretch a lot further.

Drop the money into a savings account for a little more financial benefit later on. Regardless of your choice you'll be happy to hang on to the money and this in itself can be motivating.

Other great benefits of quitting smoking
Other benefits can include being able to keep your house, car and clothes smelling a great deal better.

Everyone knows that stale tobacco and smoke has a bad smell, and everyone that doesn't smoke - really picks up on this smell.

As your urge to smoke decreases, your desire to smell good will increase. This can lead to a complete top to bottom cleaning that will put you in a great mood. Just imagine quitting the smoking habit during spring you could just consider it your spring cleaning spurt. Seriously though, you will definitely love the increased sense of smell, and now all your wonderful flowers in the garden will now have a reason to exist beyond just looking pretty.
