Why Do You Buy Art?

i buy art that nourishes me emotionally and spiritually

With most art that I own, I know the artist. For me, to meet the artist and connect with him/her makes the piece so much more personal and adds to its value. When I see the piece in my home, I always think of the person who made it.

Because it pleases me to do so. Because the art I buy brightens my life. Much the same reasons as I buy beer.
