OK you have done the hard bit and built your first Squidoo Lens, what to do now?
Well, you need to go to http://www.squidoo.com/groups and take a good look around, I don't mean a ten minute shufty and then join every group you can find, I mean look closely at the type of groups there are, what are they about? Is the group relevant to your squidoo lens? are the members active?
Take a look at some of the lenses in the groups you are considering, are the comments appropriate? are the lenses being rated? all this needs to be taken into account before deciding to join a Squidoo Group.

It is time to apply to join your chosen groups- remember membership of a group is not always immediate, you may have to wait for your lens to be assessed for appropriate content before the Group Master will let you in, but most groups will accept you pretty quickly if you have done your homework and look to be good for the group.

This means you need to start looking around at the other Lenses in the group and rate them, Comment on their guestbooks, If you think they are awesome, tell them, vote on their Plexos, If you see anything you would like to buy, then buy it through their lens link - Others in the group will do the same for you when they see that you are serious about being a Good Member of the Team.
