Wicca Beginner

To start off with many people confuse witchcraft and wicca as being one and the same.

And that is not the case. As you can be Wiccan and not practice witchcraft, or you can practice witchcraft and not be Wiccan.

It is quite common for Wiccan's to also practice The Craft. However it is not absolute.

Wicca is in fact a relatively new pagan religion. It was started by Gerald Gardner in 1954.

It is based on the "old ways" and is often referred to as the "Old Religion".

There have been various related Wiccan traditions that have evolved out of Gardnerian Wicca.

Some of the things to also know as a Wicca beginner is the overall mindset of a Wiccan - which is 'an ye harm none".

Wiccans very much have a "live and let live" approach and are very accepting of who you are and your right to free will.

There are many wonderful rituals within wicca and there is always the room to create your own ritual. All rituals are about honoring Nature and all it's inhabitants.

Wicca also works closely with the Elements: Air, Fire, Water & Earth and also recognizes a variety of Deities (Gods & Goddesses).

It is worth knowing that it individuals who apply doctrines to Wicca as opposed to Wiccans themselves. Wicca is a very respectful and loving pagan religion that does not believe in sin, punishment or negativity.

Peace and love are at it's core as well as a hearty dose of practicality - even when believing in that which can not be seen to the naked eye.
