Locks of Love

Today I went to get my first haircut in over a year... It was getting very long so I decided that with all that hair I better do something good rather than letting it go in the trash. There are very few places around here that donate to Locks of Love or Wigs for Kids but I found the cutest little place in North Ogden that does. So if you live in Northern Utah and you want to donate the place I went to is in North Ogden and it's a really cute little place called, "Don Moore's Hairstyling" @ 1375 5th Street. It's a little barber shop run out of Don's house and he is super sweet. It's in a residential area so it's kind of hard to find if you don't know the area but it's worth it because he gave me a GREAT haircut. I LOVE IT! I'm not going any where else from now on :) And if there is no place in your area that donates you can request that they put your ponytail in a bag and fill out the donation form yourself to send it in. I got a letter from them thanking me. I don't buy into this whole thing where it's good to put down charitable organizations or beleive that it's okay to insult someone by letting them know that something they did that was supposed to be kind and good was somehow crap or could have been done better. So far that I know I haven't had any cancer patients come on here to tell me their personal horror stories with Locks of Love and until I know that there is a valid reason why people put them down I won't remove the link. See, I donated my hair to them not money. If they needed the $1,000+ to make a wig for some kid by selling my hair to Pantene then who the hell cares? I don't see to many stores about people donating money to that organization but hair so really people please take your insults elsewhere and don't point out that other organizations do just fine without selling their hair because personally until I know the background for other organizations I am not going to insult them or any other non-profit organization unless it opposses my moral beleifs. Period. I don't care.
