5 Star Customer Reviews of Wii Fit

I own the Wii Fit since last week. I'm 32, 1.76m, ~82-84kg (fluctuates) and with my wedding coming up in a few months I wanted to lose some weight. I work all day and have little time in the evenings so the preparation and driving to and from the gym was too much. I wanted to use that 30-40 min to exercise, not prepare for exercise. I own a Wii since Xmas and decided to try this out after reading various reviews on the internet. Is this as good as going to the gym? No it does not replicate a gym. Will it get the job done? Will it keep you fit and help you lose weight? YES YES YES! I love it and highly recommend it. I get a great work out in 45 min. I feel great about myself, and have already lost a kilo. (note I have not changed my diet). Notice I get my work out in as much time as it takes to commute and prepare for gym. I also have more fun than going to the gym on my own. Perhaps going to a gym with a friend would be more fun. Depends. Anyway I love the Wii Fit! Note it takes a few times to get used to it and figure out how best to use it. Why? Well there is no prepared program for you. You have to decide on your own what you want to do and in what sequence. I start off by doing the aerobics (jogging, holla hoop) and then vary. Basically, the Wii Fit breaks its exercises into Muscle, Balance, Aerobics, and Yoga. I mainly doing the Aerobics and mix in some muscle and yoga. The muscle and yoga can be really tough. You wouldn't believe how much. You can really feel the muscles working. I do the balance exercises when I'm tired and want to relax a bit in between exercises. They may help with balance but are more of a game than anything else. The more you exercise, new exercises open up. In other words, you start of with a limited about of stuff to do and slowly you get more and more. Don't listen to the few negative reviews you may read on the internet. They were probably biased against the product before even trying it. This product costs a little more than going to the gym for a month (at least in my country). By the time I unlock all the exercises, I will have exercised more than a 1-month gym subscription, burnt more calories, and will have a fun game left too! Compared to nothing after a month at a gym. I highly recommend this. As I explained, you are getting more than your money's worth, having fun, and getting fit.

This was a great idea!!! I am a 31 yo female, and use it in addition to my normal 3 day a week gym routine. I really like the aerobic games, but the strength training, yoga get on nerves. I REALLY like idea, and how the screen tells you how well you are balanced, etc...but the constant talking from the "trainer" gets on your nerves.Obviouly it doesn't get on my nerves enough to not use it. It will really give you a work out!!! I just can't wait for some more games!!

IF YOU LIKE TO EXERCISE IN YOUR OWN LIVING ROOM THIS THE GAME FOR YOU, THE GAMES ARE FUN, I LOVE THE RYTHMIC BOXING THE ONLY PROBLEM IS, THAT IF YOU HAVE KIDS, YOU WILL PROBABLY HAVE TO FIGHT WITH THEM TO LET YOU USE THE WII

My husband and I bought the Wii Fit for our wedding present to each other. We're both in the technology field and we're in our late thirties/early 40's. We're behind a computer screen most of the day with little energy or motivation to go to the gym.

I should stress first, we're not overweight and we eat healthy. The reason we wanted to purchase this "next gen" home work out equipment was to motivate us to "MOVE" our bodies and return some of our body's flexibility that has been lost over the years.

The other reason we decided to purchase the Wii is because we saw our good friend lose 15 lbs and tone up his body up in just 4 months because of his 45 minute work outs. Although my husband and I are not fat, we could use some toning up. And if Sean can do it, so can we :-)

I'm amazed with the sensitivity of the board and controls. Working out with the strength, cardio and balance "games" has become part of our daily routine. We love challenging each other to see who can get the higher scores.

Its a great work out tool and fun for the entire family. It creates motivation and competitiveness between all. And hey, if we can "trick" our kids into being active versus having them sit on their butts and play guitar hero or World of War craft, then we've done something right to help our children be healthier.

Two thumbs up!

Do not buy this game if you need sleep! I bought the game and figured 'oh some fun and maybe a little exercise." At 1am I said "just one more time, and I'll score higher....." I did finally go to bed. The next morning, I can barely walk. I'm so stiff but that didn't stop me getting some aspirin and hopping on the board to start all over again.

CAUTIONS:
1. You will not get your chores done timely. If at all.....
2. You will dream of running, jumping, balancing all night long....
3. Your house will start to collect dust....
4. Any animals that are fed by only you will loose weight waiting for you to finish....
5. Going to work will frustrate you because you can't play FIT.....
6. Finding the game is worth every min. (Finally got mine at SEARS.)
7. Stiff and sore takes on a whole new meaning...
8. Other Wii games? What other games are there?
9. Ben Gay becomes your best friend, along with aspirin...
10. Why are you reading this, go get the Wii Fit....

Water break over, back to my game.....
