What is a Wii-tard you ask??

We got a Wii for Christmas like a lot of people did. I was looking forward to getting Wii-fit..lol...

I love the Wii! the technology blows my mind! It is incredible that it can do so much an is the size of a modem. It can see your movements with that cool little bar on that you put on top of your TV, and with the Wii fit even tell if you are keeping time with the music or doing the exercises. That is too incredible!!

BUT>>>do you know what it is like when a machine asks you if you are sure you can walk?? I feel so Wii-tarded sometimes I can't believe it! My center of balance is always a little off-more so when I am tired. But I love the Yoga and Aerobics!!! The Strength training too-most of it.

I am hoping to concentrate on this for half an hour every other day and over time get the balancing act together! Balance has a lot to do with your posture. As we age (I am trying to do it gracefully) our posture can change and we compensate by using the wrong parts of our body to do everday things.

I have a permanent Knot in my neck from year of carrying a shoulder bag-anyone else got that?? Or maybe it's from sitting infront of my computer too long!

In any event-I'll be back to let you know if my progress is good or if I remain a Wii-tard!!

What made me do it?

Why want a Wii?

I heard an awesome story on the Wii before Christmas. It was on WAY-FM radio, the Christian station I listen to here in South Florida. The story made it seem like such a fun family thing. As it turns out it really is. My 17 year old son loves to laugh at me plying tennis.

I actually beat him at baseball, but my arm was sore for three days after the game
:-( There I go being wii-tarded again. It just goes to show how out of shape we can get, and fairly quickly too. anything that makes moving fun is good in my book.
