  4. 4. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10
  5. 5. New Super Mario Bros. Wii
  6. 6. DJ Hero

1. Metroid Prime Trilogy

Score = 91%

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption set a new standard for first-person motion controls in video games. Now it's bringing those controls to the rest of the celebrated series, allowing players to experience the entire Metroid Prime story arc with the peerless precision of the Wii Remote. Nintendo announces Metroid Prime Trilogy, a new premium three-game collection for the Wii console that bundles all three landmark Metroid Prime games onto one disc and revamps the first two installments with intuitive Wii Remote controls, wide-screen presentation, and other enhancements.

Metroid Prime Trilogy Collector's Edition

Amazon Price: $118.99 (as of 02/07/2012)Buy Now

Shortly put, this trilogy has the best that Nintendo has to offer for both average and hardcore gamers. Great controls, graphics, and environments have set the bar high back at the original release in 2004 and continue that tradition with the other two installments. This collection will keep you busy for well over 50 hours of awesome exploring and puzzle solving as well.

I love this game! Three of the best Metroid titles ever rolled into one. Controls take a little getting used to, and the in-game menu is a little confusing. Sometimes it's tough to figure out what to do next, but what's a good game without some challenges? Love the tons of bonus content that comes with it, and the stuff you have to unlock too. Overall, I am very satisfied with this game, and I would recommend it to anyone.

2. Guitar Hero 5

Score = 89%

Featuring the best variety and biggest rock stars of today combined with classic rock anthems, Guitar Hero 5 cranks it up again for video game rockers. For the first time ever, players can customize the make-up of their band by rocking with any combination of instruments in-game: whether it be two guitars and two drums, or three guitars and a microphone, any combination is possible, allowing players to experience music their own way.

Brand new, innovative, easy-to-use gameplay modes like Party Play and RockFest put fun, competition and control at center stage as fans tailor the Guitar Hero experience to match their personal style and interests. For extended hours of entertainment, downloadable content from Guitar Hero World Tour will be compatible with the game and will automatically be updated to include all of the upgrades and enhancements of Guitar Hero 5.

Guitar Hero 5 Stand Alone Software

Amazon Price: $22.95 (as of 02/07/2012)Buy Now

The songs aren't as good as they were in Guitar Hero 3, but they are much better than in GH:WT so far. I haven't played through the whole game yet. They took out a lot of the annoying elements in GH:WT. There's less, but enough, options for creating your rocker, a much less confusing system for unlocking things and you don't have to wait for the game to connect to the internet: now it does that while you make your selections from the menus. There's not much else to say about the game. It's a Guitar Hero game with improvements and new songs.

3. The Beatles: Rock Band

Score = 89%

The world's leading music game meets the greatest band in history. The Beatles: Rock Band for Wii gives fans what they've been waiting for: a chance to experience the Beatles' legendary story from the inside. In this game you won't just watch and listen as The Beatles make rock history, create landmark records and conquer the world-for the first time, you'll be part of the band. The Beatles: Rock Band software is compatible with Rock Band, Guitar Hero and most other instrument controllers, as well as, third party microphones including SingStar and Lips.

Wii The Beatles: Rock Band - Software Only

Amazon Price: $20.50 (as of 02/07/2012)Buy Now

The Beatles: Rock Band is absolutely a treat for hard core Beatles fans', and one of the most delightful games you could honestly imagine. While I honestly did wish that there could've been a few tracks from their Beatles' solo works as well, which could've brought in a bit more fun. But nevertheless, this is a great way to enjoy The Beatles experience if you are a video game lover heart and soul. If you had to choose between Guitar Hero 5, and The Beatles: Rock Band, I really suggest you say Hey Jude and Hello Goodbye to The Fab Four.

4. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10

Score = 88%

Feel the drama of playing tournament golf with Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 10. For the first time in franchise history, take aim at capturing the U.S. Open Championship on the ever-challenging Bethpage Black. Playing in front of huge galleries and hearing crowd reactions from nearby holes, take your game to the next level when it matters most as you try to hold off a charging Tiger Woods and other PGA TOUR Pros. Whether you're fighting the course, the crowd, dynamic weather conditions, or the field, feel the drama on every swing with Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 10.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10

Amazon Price: $13.99 (as of 02/07/2012)Buy Now

This game is just the kind I wanted when I bought the Wii. They have improved it a lot over 09 and using the Wii Plus just makes it that much better. The whole idea is computer games is to meet certain goals to increase your skills and performance, so no, it's not going to be great until you work your way up, take the challenges, increase your skill level and buy items which also increase your skills. I had to learn that with 09. Now that I know it I like 10 even better.

5. New Super Mario Bros. Wii

Score = 87%

New Super Mario Bros. Wii, like all the previous releases in the Super Mario Bros. franchise is a side-scrolling platforming game where players collect coins as they attempt to make their way through progressively more difficult game levels using their ability to time jumps over obstacles and avoid a slew of enemies.

Wii players can now navigate the side-scrolling worlds alone as before or invite up to three others to join them at the same time, on the same level, at any point in the game for competitive and cooperative multiplayer fun. With the multiplayer mode, the newest installment of the most popular video game franchise is designed to bring yet another type of family entertainment into living rooms and engage groups of friends in fast-paced Super Mario Bros. fun.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii

Amazon Price: $37.00 (as of 02/07/2012)Buy Now

This game is addicting. We are hooked. We really like the multiplayer mode, because we can play with our child who does not tend to play video games and help her through the levels. It is fun to watch and to play. It is just like the original with some bonus items.

6. DJ Hero

Score = 87%

The makers of Guitar Hero introduce an entirely fresh and innovative way to experience music and rhythm gameplay. DJ Hero features an amazing variety of music across genres - tracks that you love and reflect who you are. Using an authentic turntable controller, you will spin and scratch more than 100 songs into unique mixes and become the life of the party. Get ready for a whole new phenomena in music.

Included with the DJ Hero software, the DJ Hero controller is a combination turntable and mixer that immerses you into authentic DJ culture allowing you to scratch, cross-fade, and beat match. The turntable half of the controller features three color-coated buttons used to direct action during gameplay and a realistically rotating turntable. The opposite end of the controller contains the mixer controls in the form of a lateral fader allowing for switching between tracks and mixing, a knob for additional effects and a button for capturing "euphoria," a star power-like point bonus.

PS3 DJ Hero Bundle with Turntable

Amazon Price: $18.99 (as of 02/07/2012)Buy Now

I've been a Fan of Guitar Hero for a long time. The creation of DJ Hero just adds to my fan base for the series. DJ Hero for me is a long time coming because the majority of music I listen to is Hip Hop. Being a amatuer DJ, I enjoyed playing along with the scratches and taps. The music was up to date and I recognized all the music content within the game. The Guest DJs were also a great addition. Too bad it only came with one Turntable instead of the traditional two but that in no way takes away from the gameplay. Can't wait for more downloadable content. I see myself playing DJ Hero for along time.

7. Little King's Story

Score = 87%

Once upon a time, there was a young boy named Corobo. He was a shy, withdrawn boy with few friends. One day while wandering the forest near his village he came across a crown infused with a mysterious power; the power to charm any person and make them follow any order. No sooner has Corobo placed the crown upon his head than an adventurer, the bull-knight Howzer, appears. Howzer informs Corobo that he is now the king of his town and that it is his responsibility to become the best king ever. With that Corobo returns to his village and with the assistance of Howzer and two other newly discovered royal advisors, begins his efforts to turn his sleepy little hamlet into the best kingdom ever.

Little King's Story is an original single player simulation Role-Playing Game, which combines life-simulation, real-time strategy, and adventure elements along with an enchanting storyline to offer a new and unique gaming experience on the Wii platform.

Little King's Story

Amazon Price: $21.99 (as of 02/07/2012)Buy Now

The game itself certainly isn't. Little King's Story looks like it might just be some cutesy childs game, but that couldn't be farther from the truth. This is a reasonably complex game of strategy that includes village development, army building, conquering territory, etc. It's hard to resist the addictive quality of the Little King and his loyal followers who will happily give up their lives for you.

Little King's Story is an excellent game. The controls, graphics, sounds, and gameplay work together to make a great story for anybody willing to put the time in. It was well worth the money I spent for it, and would advise anybody to give this game a shot.

8. Boom Blox Bash Party

Score = 86%

Like the original BOOM BLOX game, Bash Party is based around fast-paced gameplay that utilizes players' reflexes, dexterity, and problem-solving skills. During the action players use the Wii Remote to direct objects and forces toward structures made of blocks in order to knock them over.

There is also Jenga like gameplay during which players pull blocks, with the goal of toppling as many of them as possible, but without bringing down the whole structure. In doing this players have to deal with the different types of blocks in play. Some of these include: gem blocks, blocks with point values attached, explosive blocks that detonate on contact, vanishing blocks that disappear when struck, wood blocks, and steel blocks. In addition, as the game progresses strategies may change, meaning that players must be flexible in order to succeed.

If your looking for a family activity that the youngest to the oldest can all enjoy, this is it. I'm not usually one for gaming unless they are the classics, so when a friend recommended this game and sent it to me, I let my 7 year old play it. Well, that is all it took. Now the whole family is addicted to the variety that each level holds. You can blow things up, which my boys enjoy, grab objects with a sticky hand or even use a slingshot (my favorite). There is good music, cute animal antics and plenty of room for family members to create their own profile to play. I even have my 65 year old stepdad that plays when he visits. I now have to get the original so I can play even more! The only problem, your having so much fun the time just flies by!

9. Punch-Out!!

Score = 86%

One of the biggest names in boxing returns after a 15-year hiatus. In Punch-Out!! you play as young up-and-coming fighter Little Mac who, with the help of his ringside trainer Doc Lewis, is working his way through the ranks of a wide variety of boxing caricatures, each with their own patterns of attacks. Grab a Wii Remote controller in one hand and a Nunchuk controller in the other and step back into the ring with a modern update of the classic Punch-Out!!

Punch-Out!!

Amazon Price: $19.00 (as of 02/07/2012)Buy Now

This is a perfect update of Punchout, combining the original's addictive gameplay with stunning, wonderful animation and tons of style and charm. The characters are so entertaining that you'll want to fight them again and again. You'll probably find yourself laughing and yelling out loud as you play: It's almost impossible not to. Like all of Nintendo's best games, Punchout provides a great challenge without being unfair: The visual clues for beating each fighter are right there for you to discover, and once you spot a character's weakness, you'll have to face him several times to perfect the timing needed to take him down.

Sharp gameplay and a cast of terrific, unforgettable characters make this one of the most purely fun titles I've ever played. I hope they make a sequel.

10. Guitar Hero: Metallica

Score = 85%

Nothing Else Matters, because Guitar Hero: Metallica will focus on the career and songs of Metallica. With 28 Metallica songs and 21 other songs that influenced the band, fans will love to Ride The Lightning playing guitars, drums, and singing vocals alongside Kirk Hammett, Lars Ulrich, James Hetfield, and Robert Trujillo. So Hit The Lights, put some Whiskey In The Jar and be the Hero of the Day!

Guitar Hero: Metallica is similar to Guitar Hero World Tour in that you play a full suite of instruments. When the game starts, you're the new band on the block with aspirations of opening for Metallica. The game goes back and forth between performances by Metallica and performances of songs that influenced Metallica by your band. The band was motion captured so you'll recognize their unique motions on screen and style of playing.

Guitar Hero Metallica

Amazon Price: $12.25 (as of 02/07/2012)Buy Now

The game plays much better than the other titles in this series. The animations are ridiculous as this is the first time that actual band member video capture was used to show every last mannerism and make the songs truly come alive in the experience. The extras, like behind the scenes videos and facts about the songs and band are a must for the true hardcore fan.

Guitar Hero Metallica for the Wii is just great! The songs are very challenging which makes them so much fun to play. We also have the drums and that makes it double the fun to play with someone else. I highly recommend this title for any Guitar Hero fan, let alone Metallica fans everywhere.

    I found Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga in the bargain bin at Walmart. I got it for my son for a stocking stuffer. I would have never picked it up otherwise. What a surprise! I love it! It is what a nintendo is supposed to be. Any time time you can chop bushes with a light saber and get money, I'm in. It reminds of the older Zelda games.
