Wii Walk It Out Review

I have always wanted to get some exercise using my wii but I'm not really into dancing and wii fit games get quite boring after awhile.  I was online browsing and I came across wii walk it out a game that helps get people moving by walking.

At first glance I was skeptical I thought how can walking be fun?   Since it was only $19 brand new I decided to purchase it and a couple days later UPS delivered my game.  My other half and I popped it into the wii and decided to check it out.

At first we were confused about how to get the walk it out game started but we discovered that in order to play the game you first have to create a profile.  The profile is going to ask you things like birthday, gender, height and yes unfortunately weight.   Luckily if you have issues regarding weight you can password protect your info.  I got a pretty good laugh about the password bit.

We followed the tutorials and soon enough we were walking to the in game sound tracks.  We found out the hard way that its best to use the nunchuck and wii remote vs the dance dance revolution  (DDR) pad or the Wii balance board.  The best way is to place the nunchuck in your pocket.    Another thing is when learning the game is to turn off the penalty for missing steps when walking to the beat.

The music that comes with wii walk it out is okay.  There is a wide variety and the tempo changes from song to song as you walk.  The fun factor is while walking you can unlock a bunch of cool stuff so that you can customize your city while you walk and this is one of the reasons why it is so addicting.

The game keep tracks of your steps taken and and even keeps track of any records you may set.  I am a really competitive person I love competing with my other half.  I have in beat in almost every category right now.  We have not gotten to the additional games that it comes with yet but we are looking forward to it.

The only downside to this game is if you are out of shape you will get sore if you are not careful but its great for those of us who really want to become active again
I will conclude my wii walk it out review by saying that its a great game and i'm anxious to see if there is a wii walk it out 2..
