Wildlife Photography: Flora and Fauna
Wildlife Photography from all over the world: I have been travelling the world taking photographs of animals and nature for many years, so here are some of my photographs and some of my experiences, travel tips, recommendations and advice.
I have written many separate articles about my experiences and photos from many destinations, including: Borneo, Namibia, Botswana, The Amazon Jungle, USA National Parks, Canada, Gibraltar, India, Komodo, Brazil and Peru.

Borneo Jungle Adventure

Borneo is a wonderful place to go for wildlife photography. The wide variety of primates make excellent subjects for photographs, but the lighting is difficult in the jungles and the monkeys tend to be high up in the canopy, making long lenses essential. If you are using film, you will need hugh ASA film a lot of the time. For digital photography a good quality DSLR would be required.
Here is my artlicle about my experiences in the rain forests of borneo including a selection of the photographs:
Borneo Jungle Adventure
Wildlife Photography Books
African Safari in Namibia

If you want to go somewhere different in Africa and have a really good safari experience, then Namibia is a good choice. It is a high quality safari destination with excellent wildlife viewing opportunities, but with the Kalahari desert and the biggest sand-dunes in the world.
Namibian Safari
African Safari In Botswana

Botswana in southern Africa provides all of the usual safari experiences, but with fewer tourists and the wonderful and unique Okavango Delta.
Here is is a link to my photographs and experiences of Botswana:
Safari In Botswana
Essential safari photography equipment
I have written a more detailed recommendation of cameras here:
Nikon DSLR Cameras
but here is some good kit for a safari:
The Amazon Jungle Experience (Brazil)

The abundant wildlife in the Amazon is surprisingly illusive, hiding in the dense jungle, but if you stay in the jungle and explore the many overgrown narrow tributaries by boat you will have an unforgettable experience and many photo opportunities: Birds, reptiles and even the occasional pink, fresh-water dolphin.
For the full article and more photos please follow this link:
The Amazon Jungle Experience (Brazil)
USA National Parks in an RV

The National Parks in America are stunningly beautiful and extremely accessible (compared with national parks elsewhere in the world) Just rent a car, or an RV, and drive. Hotels, motels and campsites can be found in or near the parks. For a full article about the National Parks of USA see the link below:
USA National Parks in an RV
Iguacu Waterfalls in Brazil
The Most Beautiful Waterfalls in the World?

Brazil has an incredibly varied range of things to see and do, from the jungles of The Amazon to the carnival cities of Salvador and Rio de Janeiro, but if you want a relaxing break in your travel itinerary, or a romanic stay in a beautiful location, Iguacu is the place to go: On the border of Brazil and Argentina, Iguacu (or Iguazu) has not one, but 275 waterfalls forming a beautiful crescent between Argentina and Brazil. The majority of the falls are in Aregentina, but the best views are on the Brazilian side. See the full article here:
Iguacu Waterfalls in Brazil
Film Scanners
I have also written an article about scanning slides and negatives and the equipment and software you will need:
Film Scanners
Canada. Vancouver and the Rockies

For some more of my photographs of Canada, bears, whales etc. see the following:
Canada. Vancouver and the Rockies
The Apes of Gibraltar

The Apes of Gibraltar
Gibraltar is a British territory, but is a small peninsular with an unusual rock formation, bordering Spain and jutting out towards north Africa. It has an interesting cultural mixture of British, Spanish and Moroccan, but for many the main attraction is the monkeys who inhabit The Rock: "Barbary Apes" a kind of Macaque monkey without a tail.

- Photographers choose to take different types of photography for different reasons. Their decision may be based mostly on where they suppose they'll make the most money. Perhaps they select stock photography or portrait photography. They may base their decision on what they like, similar to wedding photography, baby photography or sports photography. Those of us who have chosen nature photography did so because we have "the passion".
