Every gift item shown on this page that sells, generates a minimum 25%-50% donation to Wildlife Rescue Groups such as those below!

I actively support great organizations like: Defenders of Wildlife, Big Cat Rescue, Wildlife Direct, Harpseals.org, SPCA, Cheetah Conservation Fund, the Jane Goodall Institute to name just a few. Any of the "for sale" gift items you see in this lens in a Zazzle or Cafepress store, generates 25%-50% of the proceeds I earn, to one or more of these select Wildlife Protection groups.

I will be adding more links to these incredible web sites in coming days (scroll down), so you can visit them directly. If you don't want to donate to these organizations by purchasing gift items from our wildlife protection stores, that's okay, because you can always go straight to the organizations themselves and give what you can afford as a donation. Either way, the animals will be grateful. :o-)

How YOU Can Help Save Endangered Wildlife

Apart from the obvious steps you can take like:

1) When driving on road trips (however short), keep an eye out for wild animals crossing the roads and highways. If a passenger, then help the driver by alerting them to imminent danger when a wild animal (or farm animal) is near the roadside. Not only will you probably save your own life and that of your companions, but the animal might just survive its encounter with your vehicle and live to make it to the field or forest across the road. Oh, and that insurance claim for a severely damaged vehicle won't need to happen!

2) Do your best NOT to attract wild animals like bears, cougars or wolves into your neighbourhood by keeping your trash well away from animal access. Use the kind of bin that is very difficult to open, for an enterprising animal like a raccoon or bear.
Most bears caught in residential areas aren't simply removed these days, they are more like to be shot by Conservation Officers. (Not my definition of conservation,I'm afraid, but once attracted to human foods, such habituated bears and wolves will keep returning, thereby creating a potential hazard for all concerned (especially to the animal). Avert a tragedy and stash your trash thoughfully.

You can also help these precious creatures by purchasing from any of the Zazzle or Cafepress stores displayed in this lens. A mimimum of 25-50% of proeeds from any sales made will directly benefit the nominated wildlife charity for those items.

More tips coming your way in the near future!

A Few of the Wonderful Wildlife\Animal Charities we actively support:

Wildlife Direct
A European-based organization that uses a very large proportion of donations to go directly into the field where it can do the most good in assisting endangered species around the World in a very practical way.
Defenders of Wildlife
A powerful North American group dedicated to protecting many species at risk by, scientifically researching and investigating Polar Bear, Wolf and Harpseal populations, just to name a few. Their strategy is to change Government policy at the highest levels in order to provide protections for endangered wildlife.
Polar Bears International
A well organized group, dedicated to the protection of the fast diminishing Polar Bear.
The Jane Goodall Institute
The Jane Goodall Institute is pledged to help preserve the now very endangered Chimpanzees through education, rehabilitation of injured and orphaned Chimps and the provision of alternatives to using vulnerable Chimpanzees as bush-meat by native tribespeople.
The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund
The foundation set up to honour Dian Fossey's timeless work with the precious and severely endangered Mountain Gorillas in Africa's Virunga region of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The Cheetah Conservation Fund
This great organization is engaged in the protection of the powerful and fast diminishing Cheetah population in Africa.
M.A.R.S. Mountainaire Avian Rescue Society
A dedicated group of caring folks (with whom we volunteer) who rescue and rehabilitate wild birds and mammals for re-release into the wild. Bald Eagles, Falcons, Ravens and Raccoons are all equally welcome when in need of some loving care.
Harpseals.org
The incredible people at harpseals.org are passionate about saving the precious Harp Seals from the annual Canadian Seal-hunt. This hunt is barbaric and unnecessary and must be stopped at all costs! South Africa needs to take action regarding its seal hunt as well so that these inoffensive creatures will not have to endure the cruel hunting practices of those who feel it necessary to bash them to death for the sake of a few dollars.

This is a small Donation portal for the caring folks at CHIMP HAVEN

If you can give a little within your means, it means the World to a Chimpanzee.

Chimp Haven serves as The National Chimpanzee Sanctuary. We are an independent, nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide lifetime care for chimpanzees who have been retired from medical research, the entertainment industry or no longer wanted as

We at Squidoo passionately believe in creating new ways to support good causes online. By making a donation to Chimp Haven from this page, you are sending money directly to that organization, in whatever amount you want. We don't touch it. We don't even see it. The author of this page doesn't either. And if you made it this far, thanks for caring.
