"The Wildwoods" are on the Jersey Shore. There are three towns: Wildwood, Wildwood Crest, and North Wildwood, which is the town where we have spent most of the past 11 summer vacations. Although I may not be the foremost expert on Wildwood, I happen to love it there! Many of the vacationers there are Phildelphia and New Jersey natives, and although I am from Massachusetts.... my husband and his whole family are from Philly. Natives of Philly and nearby NJ are some of the nicest and most fun people you will ever meet.
On this lens, you will:
--Find links to some unique Wildwood items from Amazon.com, Ebay, and CafePress. These include books, music, bumper stickers, tshirts, postcards, and occasionally, even a vacation home or two!
---See some great Flickr photos to put you in the mood for a kind of kitschy experience.
--Find links to a couple of very useful tourism sites, if you are planning to take another trip down the shore.
--View some vintage footage of the famous Wildwood boardwalk from YouTube.
--Tell me and the world about your memorable Wildwood vacation.
--Answer a poll about your favorite thing to do in Wildwood.

Best Thing to Do In Wildwood
Tell me more of your favorite things in my Guest Book! Thanks.
Good and bad things about our 2006 Wildwood vacation
- Getting up early and watching dolphins from the balcony or beach
- They rake the beach early each morning
- Rent and ride bikes on the boardwalk in the morning
- The boardwalk!! "Watch the tramcar!" The claw machines & the the waterparks & watching the bungee jumpers......
- The little water rivers and inlets that form each day when the tide goes out, across from our condo at 5th street.
- The cool names of all the old motels, many of which look like they were built in the fifties and resemble a building from the jetsons.
- The garden at Hereford Inlet Lighthouse
- Very challenging miniature golf at sunset (grandmom whipped everyone) and the cool outdoor bar nextdoor where Jack got drunk the next night.
- We got free cotton candy
Bad Things
- The cotton candy!
- The lousy claw machines
- jellyfish :-( this was the first year they ever bothered us
- seagulls stealing our popcorn
- rain on our last day
